Why do you pray asking her, who is NOT God, to pray for you? Why not pray for yourself? If your neighbor believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, ask him or her to pray for you. That person hears and knows you, whereas Mary (having died a very long time ago) is in the presence of God. Where is the evidence from Scripture that she hears you or knows you or can do anything for you? And when it says in Romans 8:26 that the Spirit 'intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words', what do you need Mary for? It is anti-Scriptural and un-Christian to pray to Mary. (1st Timothy 2:5) 'For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.'

It was a lovely place full of peace when I visited in1989. Regardless of whether one believes the one speaking to the visionary is the mother of Jesus the call to repent and pray is a good one. She keeps drawing people to follow her Son. We need to be open to total conversion to Jesus now. He needs to be the Lord of our life so He can free us from the dark bondage to sin most are dying from. No more time left since the door is closing fast for humanity. Thank you.

If your 'church' teaches that it is not, then your 'church' is heretical. You should not accept unquestioningly mere doctrines of men. But please read this carefully before replying again: 1. The Word makes it abundantly clear that human beings (apart from the sinless Son of God) are sinners. (Romans 3:23) 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' ALL, not some. Jesus said to His opponents, 'You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world' (John 8:23). He also said (see John 8:58), 'before Abraham was born, I AM'. Every Jew knew that 'I AM' (see Exodus 3:14) is the title of God Himself, that He was claiming to be God. Of course God cannot sin. Mary is more like a messenger, like the angels. She said she prays for us and that we may present to her our intentions that she will take care of. Maybe she acts like a mediator/intercessor between us and Jesus but I really don't know. I nonetheless believe she is a co-redeemer (she took part with the Redeemer, i.e. Jesus); co-redemption is an acceptable notion and it can be found in the scripture - Colossians 1;24 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking[a] in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,

+TenkU That is not a valid argument. You could also say that 'democracy' per se is not against Jesus. But is it for Him? How can one be neutral about Jesus? Rather, whatever EXALTS ITSELF by demanding allegiance, thereby DISTRACTING people's minds from Jesus and the preaching of His Gospel, serves the interests of satan. For Jesus came to save the world, not to offer new forms of spiritual entertainment. And the Holy Spirit cannot disagree with Himself. He does not sponsor Roman Catholic or any other doctrines which contradict the Word of God, nor does He sponsor 'visions' of doubtful origin. For if 'visions' are not of God, they must be products of human imagination or worse. +j k I am open to correction of course, but I do not understand why Catholics insist that THEY are the sole inheritors of the authentic apostolic tradition. You realize of course that the Orthodox claim the very same thing. I would give the Orthodox a slight edge, because they do not insist on a SINGLE TEMPORAL HEAD of the Church, to whom all owe obedience (otherwise they are considered as 'damned'). But BOTH traditions traffic in idolatrous images and practices, which were ALREADY forbidden in the First and Second Commandments given to Israel under Moses. Do you think that bringing the Gentiles into the Church was intended to WEAKEN standards, to PROMOTE once again pagan practices from which Christians ought to have been freed once for all? Furthermore NOTHING is said in Scripture about Peter's presence in Rome, or his appointment to any such thing as a 'papacy'. He tends to fade from the narrative after the Council at Jerusalem. When Paul wrote to specfic churches, he called them 'the church at Corinth' for example. As an evangelist, he longed to go to Rome, but was Rome the be-all and end-all for him? Hardly. He also wanted to go to Spain (whether he accomplished this or not is probably beyond us to discover). In short, he wanted to cover as much territory as possible, as responsibly as possible in obedience to the Spirit; and as a strategic centre Rome was undeniably a prized destination. One might as well be speaking of political parties. Have you read 1st Corinthians 1:10-17? Please give it a look. Denominational warfare was not the Lord's intention. On the other hand, how can one impose 'unity' on a SPIRITUAL BODY by administrative action? You people have a problem when your popes are obviously, starkly corrupt. Luther did not want to leave Rome; he was FORCED to do so by Christian conscience.

+Queen Not only is my Latin very rusty, but I am not Catholic at all. Perhaps you are disappointed. I had VERY little exposure to Catholicism, and most of that because I used to watch an evangelical Catholic TV programme (but later these folks disappointed me, as being not enough 'evangelical' and far too Catholic). As a matter of fact, I was an adult convert to Christ. What I did find helpful in the development of my faith was a compendium of 50 testimonies by ex-priests of the Roman denomination--------------because in it so many spoke eloquently of the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith. (Yes, I know also that faith without works is dead; but that is an amplification of the doctrine, NOT a contradiction.) The book is entitled, 'Far From Rome, Nearer To God' (or I think that's it). Yes, by all means beware and forsake the New World Order. Every attempt to produce such a thing smells satanic. It is not for nothing that satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the earth; yet Our Savior refused!

To all the people so inclined to see this as an 'angel of light" or "satanic', I have spent over a decade trying to disprove this and its quite simple, Mary appears and says "praise be Jesus" and "repent and read the gopsels", Would Satan say this? This would be a tragedy for believers IF the way of the world were the correct one, if 'getting ahead' really were the point of human existence. Or look at what Paul writes: 'For if the dead are not raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep [died] in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.' But Jesus, Who came 'from above', gives us the real picture. Behind the scenes of this life lies a deeper, spiritual reality. Those whose 'treasure' is on earth are NOT to be envied, because they cannot take it with them when they die. Those whose treasure is in heaven, who know God through Jesus Christ, have an inheritance awaiting them. That is not to say that God is indifferent to economic injustice and suffering. There are many passages which condemn abuse of other human beings for the sake of material gain. See James chapter 5, verses 1-6, which begins: 'Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you........'
