@@ChaoticWitchAunt Hi there chaotic witch, it's not even that simple. How many millions of farmers were pushed off the land during the Great Depression, families may have lived there for five or more generations. The whole money system assumes that whoever buys land has 100% righteousness and entitlement to that land, while those who live without land are unworthy of land. Those who buy land will argue till the death that they own the land and they will barricade it against encroachment by others, right up until the day when their heirs wish to flog it off in a fire sale. The money system is based upon that notion.

@@ChaoticWitchAunt I don't want to be 'that guy', but I have to say something on this subject. Your implication is that people of European descent have no right to the land that they have bought/worked/cultivated/settled. This suggests that the land only belongs to those who lived there prior to the European settlers. But did that land belong to one people? There were 500 nations in North America before Columbus ever set foot here. Nations that occasionally warred with each other and fought for resources. Which people did the land belong to back then? While you were attempting to establish the moral superiority of the Native American, your statement becomes racist in that it implies that one Native American is the same as any other Native American, and their claim as a whole has precedence over any European's claim. Your position on this matter is nothing more than white guilt and cultural self-loathing. It fails to take into the consideration all the different peoples that claimed the land before the white settlers ever arrived. Land 'belongs' to whoever can bond with it and maintain their claim on it. ...whether by force, or legal documents. ...IF you can say it belongs to anyone. I do apologize for the tone of this post. I do adore you, and value what you do with this channel, but I could not let this pass unaddressed.

@@johnnyt1175 I think maybe you are hung up on the implications of 'ownership'. I can't speak for the KZreadr, but personally I shift away from ownership and acknowledge the relationships that people have and do have to the land. Living on indigenous land myself, acknowledging myself as a settler is less so about me absolving my own relationship to the land and more so acknowledging and being open to the deep relationships that the indigenous people of the region have had for time immemorial. Land ownership for me is more of an earthly matter, that is materialistic in a way (nothing really belongs to me/I take nothing to the grave). That being said, the earthly matter of acknowledging rightful land ownership in the context of colonized lands is deeply important in my opinion to mending not only our relationships as people to one another but also the land itself. Hope this made sense!

As a shaman, I'm working really hard to create written work to educate people about spirits I also didn't grow up in my ancestral land however the spirits of this land are super friendly and don't mind me being here since they haven't seen a human shaman around here in a while but I recognize that being a rarity gave me privilege that I otherwise wouldn't have. My house spirits actually reside with a dryad in her tree outside since I agree, this house needs to be rebuilt.

I have Sámi heritage (and live in Northern Norway, so having reindeer meat in the freezer is semi-normal), and when I listen to Sámi joik, especially the album "Idjagiedas - In the Hand of the Night" by Mari Boine, I feel the power of my ancestors in my bones. It can be very intense, but also comforting. I think at times it -- or rather *they* -- literally helped me stay alive.

I esp like that you recommended Braiding Sweetgrass, I was thinking about buying that book, and also wondering about how to honor or at least make peace with the land and spirits of the Indigenous culture where I live as a white person. One thing I'm still confused about, maybe you can do a whole video on? How do you make sure "good" spirits: benevolent ones, ancestors, the house spirits etc. can move freely in your space, but also set up wards to keep negative or unwelcome ones out? How do the ones you talked about that are just passing thru or attached to the house, etc. get "thru" your wards, and how do I let good-intentioned ones in my own space while also warding it from bad ones? Thx!

I’m going on vacation to the beach next month. Do you have any suggestions for offering and gifts for the ocean and beach spirits I can give or do? I want to pick up some shells and see if I can find some hagstones so I really want to make sure I give something back to the spirits before I take something from the land. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

I would love to know how to build a better and strong relationship with spirits. A tree-like spirit (similar to an ent in LOTR) is around, taking care of me since 4-5 months (although I only started to notice him since 1). He is very kind, and helps me a lot, cleansing my energy blockages, waking me up from nightmares, and coming with me wherever I go.😊 I have learned his name, why he's here and some of their favorite offerings but I would love to do more and to be able to communicate regularly with him.

how do you find out their names like with Edwin and Rue? Do they send you messages through dreams, pendulum, or do you just intuitively know? Also, thanks for the vid, super helpful.

Edwin was a message and then a confirmation through another medium. A lot of my plant allies, like rue, are allies with ancestral ties, and I meditate to with plants to get the specific names.

@@ChaoticWitchAunt when you meditate is it like a knowing that is happening or do you get like a separate voice? I'm just curious because I'm not very intuned to my intuition yet.

My house Spirit mainly wants me to keep things clean. Especially the kitchen. She literally slammed the dishwasher door and started it in the middle of the day once. 😅One of my dogs sensed her there right before it happened to and made a little fuss in that direction just seconds before. Clean spaces are happy spaces though, so I can't really complain. 😆 Aside from that, I will occasionally hear footsteps on the stairs, which are carpeted, so he/she (not sure if it's the same Spirit that hangs out in the kitchen. I don't think it is/was though) is really stepping. lol I started keeping some plants in/around that area, and there's not as much ruckus there now.

After watching this I did some research on indigenous tribes of my area. I plan on going more in depth with my research and also donating to the active tribes. Its unfortunate that I live in an area where so many cities and street names are from native tribes but the the area was so colonized that the native population is miniscule and a lot of the tribes are now extinct.

love this. another fox spirit i find interesting is pretty much the Chinese equivalent of the Japanese Kitsune, the Huli Jing, which is one of the most powerful and feared "demonic" spirits in Chinese lore. i read what i know from The Encyclopedia Of Demons And Demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley...however even though i love it, i now wonder if that is a credible source.

2 questions that idk if you’ll see 1.If I live in a suburb area with animal wildlife that isn’t diverse should I work with the spirit of an animal that I’ve never seen but always felt close to or would I look for an animal I connect with out of the very few animals in my area? 2.I’ve seen you talk about MARVEL in 2 videos probably and I’m such a huge fan of it so would you ever make a TikTok acc to post about MARVEL stuff? Because I love the movies so much and I’d love to see you talk about it.
