Nicholas, thank you. I get that a lot - it’s a Pearl Masters. Maple shell. Although I will say how snares sound when they’re are recorded has more to do with how it’s EQ’d and mixed. And that is how I also achieve a clean sound

Luke Seavers w/ One Nine Pro I actually did switch out my hats and now I use the meinl combo hats. You can see and hear those in my more recent videos!

It really depends what sound your going for and what fits well with your musical situation. The new beats are very bright and crisp which cuts through very well but can also be very loud in a live atmosphere. For my needs and the sound I want to achieve I felt the darker more washy sounds of the meinl combo hats worked better for me so that’s why I made the switch!
