Its interesting how in both cases, the screen tones can give hints about whether the story is written in 1st person or 3rd person. The first one expressed feelings and impressions from the boy's perspective only, while the other one showed feelings that both characters had at that moment. At least that's what makes me think. Great video as always!

I know how the girl in the manga feels, I have long hair and it is surprising how many people touch it and I HATE IT! I was at a concert ones and felt something, I turned around to a 50+ year old lady that was very drunk petting my head!!! That was such a bad feeling. 😣 Great video, I am a conceptual composite fine art photographer, but have been learning manga style drawing. Screentones remind me so much of adding textures to my fine art photos, so interesting!

So, this is how they add screentones. So, it's like choosing colors. Mangaka are actually bothered by putting the correct one? I though the black and white is an advantage as they focus on story and not color scheme. Sheesh!

It's interesting how screentones can change the meaning. I don't understand japanese and with the differents tones it gets the impression she likes what he said then she's upset or shoked by his words.
