    I just hope they expand the training load to include some way to input/track muscular fatigue in the future since it seems the tracking is mostly based off of HR metrics. So they could divide the training load into two questions, how do your muscles feel and your heart/cardio feel. 👌🏼

    I have an AWU OG and the newish Garmin Epix pro-51, my experience with the Garmin is not very good none of the metrics line up with how I feel on the training readiness. So, this looks nice if it's as accurate as Athlytic which I use now and love its recovery and sleep that align more with how I feel than the Garmin E P 2 and anything it tells me. Mr. Chase the Summit, I am having a lot of problems with my Garmin watch is there a forum where you can find fixes for problems with the Garmin Epix gen2 pro? besides warranty for Garmin like a user's forum?? My Garmin is only 2 months old and it's got terrible lag, and screen is nonresponsive when I get my morning report I try to swipe to scroll through and ... a big nothing burger, not what I expected from a 1200 dollar watch.....

    From watchOS 11 Press Release: “The Workout app offers even more workout types that can track distance using enhancements in GPS positioning, including Soccer, American Football, Australian Football, Outdoor Hockey, Lacrosse, Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Golf, Outdoor Rowing, and more. Users can also see their route maps for more workout types.” It seems the distance and route maps is just more accurate routes in other workout types, and not actually seeing the route while working out.

    Question. I´ve used Garmin for a long time. love it. Recently started using ultra 2, love it aswell. Only one thing missing (I think). whenever I push the split/segment button on my Garmin it starts a new 1k (that's what my split is on the Garmin), I have the same split on ultra, but whenever I push the segment button (it of course starts a new segment), but the 1k keeps going and gives me a notification after the 1k split is over. Ex: I run 800m, push the segment button on Garmin and It starts the 1k all over again. On ultra I push the segment button on 800m, but after 200m it gives me the 1km notification. Hope people get it. Bad English here :D

    Jay, Like you, I hope maps are integrated in the fitness app also. I don’t think the “Vitals”app will be helpful to me because it sounds like all the readings are going to be recorded in sleep mode. That’s a shame because I don’t plan to sleep with my apple watch on. I hope I’m wrong!! I can’t understand how the Apple Watch couldn’t record your “Vitals” during your daily activity. Excluding recording a baseline it did it for your “Trends”. It would be nice if my Ōura ring would push the information to the health app. but I doubt it.

    One item that frustrates me as a runner is that in the workout app there is no way to see a running timer for rests if you pause your watch. Only option is to let the watch run, start a new segment, and watch the time on that new segment. This of course screws with your pacing because the watch counts your rest in your pacing.

    Apple late af to the party... what else is new. I do find that when running laps, Garmin's distance tracking is way off (.5-1 mile for 20 mile run) when compared to Apple Watch Ultra.

    The metrics on my Garmin like sleep, distance, and HRV are never ever right I have an og AWU and use Athlytic and those metrics align more with how my body feels .... I do 6 to 10 miles a day and my Garmin Epix 2 pro 51mm says I am finished all up and down the road sometimes over 200 to 400 yards difference when my ultra is finished at the same area every day with in 20 yards. but I have found the fix for the Garmin .... power cycle it just before you do your run or w/e then it is more accurate, but still way off. Sleep is way better on the Apple watch health even more so than Athlytic and my Garmin. Also, my Garmin has so much lag in the interface I don't know what's up with that may send it back. let me know if you have these probs too, or if there is a fix for lag? I can't wait for Apple Watch Ultra x to launch this September I think we may get a battery boost this year! or I hope so any ways!

    @davidbraswell1481 Yeah, Garmin and Apple watches sleep metrics are trash. Oura ring seems to be way better. Don't care for Garmin's sleep tracking at all... sometimes doesn't register a nap, doesn't total your sleep properly if you wake up midway sometimes and Apple's is worse.

  • @Tritiuminducedfusion

    @Tritiuminducedfusion

    @davidbraswell1481 Yeah, now that you mention it, Garmin is pretty laggy. For example, if you stop a run, it takes a second... it's almost reminiscent of bad 80s video game graphics, and I have the Marq Performance Edition. Also, yes, the Garmin will underestimate distances. My Apple VO2 max seems to be more accurate (says 53.8)... Garmin has said 51 for 4 months.... there's no way. I'm not even sure if the HR zones are good, I can't really trust the metrics, Zone 1 and 2 seem ridiculously low.

  • @Tritiuminducedfusion

    @Tritiuminducedfusion

    Ай бұрын

    @davidbraswell1481 I'm unsure why, Oura's sleep tracking is head and shoulders above the rest... all the watches seem to be terrible at that. Training readiness tells me I need 3 days recovery in the middle of marathon training, so basically I just disregard it. So many things I don't like. I think the thing I like most about Garmin is easily being able to go to next interval with the lap button (you have to change screens on Apple). If Garmin can fix these little glitches, it's way better than Apple from a fitness perspective, overall I'd say Apple is more accurate and seamless.

    This company is a 👉SOFTWARE & HARDWARE👈 juggernaut, that releases changes & improvements every 6 months to a year. . Although the Apple Watch Ultra is only the 2nd version, they will EASILY surpass Garmin's offerrings by the 3rd or 4th version. Meanwhile, Garmin is "STUCK" to the slower pace of improvements that Polar, Wahoo, Coros, & Suunto "agreed" upon.🤷‍♀ . Just look at how much Garmin is "gatekeeping" any REAL advancements with 1040 Edge Cycling Computer. They could EASILY made advancements in the screen....but why bother when the competition (minus Hammerhead) agrees to play along.

Surprisingly the rock with hardware from 2019 overdelivered in disciplines that I didn’t even know existed. Now Apple wants to play catch and give Apple Health a quick brushover before selling the sheep the AWU3 and AW10. Screw you Apple, you lost me for good. I still have a MacBook Pro, iPhone 15 Pro and the new iPad M4, so Apple will survive without my business, and who knows, maybe the Tactix 2025 will be even better than the Delta I have right now.

    @@rgmALC which confirms my argument,, you can have all the features of the world, none of it matters if the battery does not last more than a couple of days. The ultra was designed solely for sports people, it intended to do what the garmin does. they share the same functions, hell garmin still have more yet the battery last 10x more. faster UI noise monitoring should not need to come at a cost of battery life. As someone who like to go camping, cycling long distances at times, long hikings and a bad memory I dont need to concern myself with "did I charged my watch" because I know it will do more than the ultra and will still have battery. I also like to wear while sleeping to monitor the sleep quality which is not doable as the apple watch was often charging at night.

    These are just 2 reasons why Apple is so fkd up.... 1 - Settings is not available in the quick Access panel on the watch, you must scroll for it every time. 2 - Favorites has been removed in 10.0 update fucking up every ones watch. Typical Apple control freaks allowing us no control! I literally hate all Apple products except the watch and even that is not great anymore. I sold my tablet, I only have an old phone to manage my watch. Fitbit 6 is now more accurate than iWatch and if Fitbit builds a design like Apple we can all dump Apple permanently. There are reasons schools use Google and MS, Europe has banned Apple use by politicians, and all industrial programs run off of MS software. Apple is also easily hacked because every Apple product runs off of the same update. Hack 1 update and you have them all. But most Apple lovers also love Trump. Cattle.....
