I just got the Series 4 yesterday and I’m definitely keeping my 1st generation as well!! I really love the all around improvements but there could be some more watch faces.. other than that I’m HAPPY

Finally gonna upgrade my S0 to a S4 since my 1st gen gave out on me back in august 2018. I thought about getting a S3 at the time but there wasn't an 'wow' factor. Now that I see the S4, it definitely worth the wait.

Great vid! Love your presenting style. I was waiting for you to swap that awesome strap on to your new aw4 as the finale... it does fit right?? That was a big win for a lot of aw owners when they announced the 4.

I had series 0 and then the battery swelled up and lifted the screen so apple replaced it for free and gave me series 1... debating whether to upgrade to series 4

I also have the Series 0 Stainless Steel Black, and am definitely ready for an upgrade. The only thing that’s sad is that the black SS Series 0 had a unique feature that was absent from subsequent generations. It has a diamond carbide coating around both the watch and (I believe) the included link bracelet. This made the watch scratchproof not only on its sapphire display, but also its body. It’s a shame this wasn’t kept, but the speed improvements will be very nice!

I had the series 0/ first generation since it came out... in the last two years I have had it it just drives me nuts. The battery would hardly last a Day and that was without using apps, Bluetooth or anything; just as a watch. Got really slow and laggy... I finally got fed up and traded it back in to Apple. I think I will get the series four instead of the three when I save up enough! It looks great!

it will be a GPS + Cellular model. He did say at the start he only gets the Stainless steel finish, doesn't like Alumimun. Stainless steel model only comes with GPS + Cellular.

I have the Series 4 cellular. Watch calls (no phone near) takes ~1% per minute. Had a series zero and carry the extra charger in work bag now. Call quality with or without headphones is excellent. I make a LOT of calls so series 4 without phone isn’t practical but it does work well when needed.

I bought the Apple Watch series 3 four months ago. Loved it; suited my needs. But for the past week,i had been entertaining the idea of upgrading to the series 4. Done deal. I swapped it ( received a credit of $255.00) for the series 3 and a few dollars for an old iPad. With Apple care paid just over $650 for it. Selling very well in Montreal

I also just upgraded from the series zero to the fourth and I’m loving it! But...why would I want to shower using my watch? Great review though!

I still have the "series 0" or first gen  watch, and may possibly be upgrading to the series 6 here soon due to my phone provider having a great deal on them. I've gotten lucky with my series 0 that I have because i completely jumped into a pool with mine on (i had forgotten about it) and it was just fine! My digital crown had gotten sticky on it a few times as well and was recommended to turn it completely off and run it under a light stream of water whilst turning the digital crown. Its lasted me a long time now since ive had it pretty much since it came out, but with how slow it has gotten over time, its definitely time for an upgrade. Nice vid!

Same situation and you nailed everything on the head. I kept my Series 0 Black SS, Black link bracelet...no desire or need to upgrade. The S0 still looked great - but yes....so so slow, and of course OS5, nope. As for a "trade in value" - um..no Apple, I was curious, the value they gave was insulting...lol Pairing that S0 to the new XS Max...20, maybe 25 minutes (I lost track) Picked up the S4 last night, The speed is super fast. Pairing THAT to the new phone, 3, maybe 4 minutes? Battery from 1pm yesterday to about 12am last night, incredible! It's a little odd, as in size. I went from 42 to a 44..in some cases the size looks the same, but certain angles, it really looks much larger - odd optical illusion..I dont know. Of course the display is MUCH bigger! That I love. Still have to look at all the settings on BOTH new phone, and especially the watch. So far, I absolutely love the new S4.

II used this site, it has been a God send! www.istocknow.com/product/watch Shows stock for IN stores and online. When I woke up early Sat morning, the map showed green (meaning in stock) in my area. The real time status for this map is pretty spot on. good luck :)

My S0 watch doesn’t feel slow at all. Maybe it’s because I have nothing to compare it to but still. Plenty fast for receiving texts and navigation when driving which is all I use it for

Great video man! I want to get one as well but I’m confused with size. I have a 165mm wrist. I was using a 42mm previously that was fit to fit size. Now 44mm seems larger especially with the display on and 40mm seems like a bump from previous 42mm. May I know your wrist size?

Hi Oliur, what face do you have on your Apple Watch series 0?

I have the S0 Apple Watch 42mm and was gonna upgrade to the 40mm S4 until I found out that 42mm Apple Watch straps ONLY fit the 44mm watch and not the 40mm. So had to order the bigger 44mm instead!

Battery life doesn’t bother me with my first gen watch. I put everything on charge every night anyway. Got to say I’m not exactly blown away with this 4th gen. Still not worth the upgrade yet in my opinion.

It is pretty worth the upgrade.

Apart from telling time and getting notifications, I only use it for workout and hardly use the apps on there. Maybe checking the weather from time to time. Do I really need to upgrade from the series 2?

They don't make GPS-only in steel, only aluminum. I have a stainless steel series 0, and will upgrade to a series 4, but don't need (or want) cellular, so will get aluminum.

not true to have has the first generation watch since it first came out, and have swam in the lake and pool with it every summer and it works perfectly fine .still works amazing actually

I had a 38mm series 0 and just got a 44mm series 4 yesterday, and it really is a huge difference. Battery life is massively improved, along with speed, and both are immediately noticeable after having it for only a day. Screen size is also pretty excellent. Using it for only an hour or two, I now wonder how I even managed with the old one. It feels clunky and outdated by comparison, going back to it for only a couple minutes. I recommend it, personally. Completely worth it for me.

Hey Oliur, I still have the Series 0, Space black stainless steel, but is a better screen really a must have? Because now I mostly use the watch face with black background and don’t need a bigger screen. Hope you answer! :)

Jonathan Casares all the old bands fit the new watches seamlessly, so yes.

I wouldn’t shower wearing a watch even if I could. Ive gotten into a habit of charging every night. Im still using the series 0. Plenty bright display.

When you don’t have your phone on you lol....who goes anywhere today without there phone.

What made you get the aluminium series 4 over the stainless steel one this time? I’m considering the stainless steel with the white sport band.

I’ve had Stainless Steel S0, S2 and now S4. I’d rather have the sapphire crystal screen and a case I can polish scratches out of easily.

His older Series 0 Apple Watch came with the super pricy Black link bracelet - and STILL expensive - www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ5K2ZM/A/42mm-space-black-link-bracelet - The combo when this came out, Stainless Steel with the bracelet was over $1K and very hard to find for a while The watch band in this video of the new Series 4 watch, it's a black Silicone Sports Band. Very easy to find in stores. What I don't like personally is the price for those went WAY up ($49 now?) If you can find some older ones at Target, Walmart..real Apple bands cheaper, get that. a 38mm will fit the 40mm watch. 42MM will fit the 44mm. There is absolutely no difference in width and size between the older rubber sport bands and the ones now.

I'm so disappointed about not being able to use the ECG feature in the UK. After the recent news that it quite literally saved a mans life after 2 days of wearing the watch, why wouldn't it be approved to be used in the UK?

If it’s not something like gaming or racing or whatnot then it just looks foolish Of course there are times when 60fps might be occasionally better - like showing the animations - but generally 24-30fps is better
