For me its an amazing tool, I use it for video editing and many other adobe creative cloud apps. Before going to sleep I like to open the immersive environments on night mode to see the stars, specifically White Sands, it calms my mind from my busy day and helps me sleep better. So it all depends for what you are going to use it. I’m very happy this technology exists

@drunkskunk2 - That's the aim, dude. I work in the building trade, and it's becoming more common to use ' fair-faced' blocks when building, and to leave them exposed. Instead of hiding them behind more brick or drywall. Sometimes, intumescent paint is used for fire safety but that doesn't exactly enhance the look. I personally quite like it.

They've had it for years, yet still to this very day, it remains nearly ENTIRELY empty. Seems like a massive waste of space and money. Biggest thing I've seen in here is 1 car; when in reality they can fit like freakin' 50 cars..... 😆

The intro to me perfectly captures the perceived anticipation. Almost gets you to feel what it would be like yourself. Then, following with what I feel is a measured response to the product. It comes across, in my opinion, not rushed like all the others who were "first." OG's know Lew cares, and while I can't know what his motivation truly is, I like to believe he's been trying to get back to his creative thoughtful self.

What was the friction of these that caused them to not really grab and addict u like your phone or a traditional screen game? I can't put my Quest3 down almost 5 years in since Quest 1 . But I spend hours on Sims for sports/activities i like to do IRL. Play pool in AR, Ping-pong, golf. Even bowling and Quarter back simulation. Basically the concept of doing fun real-life stuff without having to get ready and leave my house to do, and jump in for quick 15-minute sessions is addicting to me. I'm genuinely curious what gets old to most people with VR/AR. Since it's struggling with retention

You said a majority of my concerns/disappointments with the new hardware. In terms of the hardware built-in it's phenomenal with lots of potential, but.... In terms of viability it offers a sense of productivity that either just isn't there yet, or doesn't feel all that useful to the average consumer (unless they're a big Apple buff.) It sort of reminded me of when the brand new Xbox line was announced. In the sense that there's a huge promotion on its powerful hardware, but in terms of practicality it didn't really have any... (Don't get me wrong i own one but because I use Gamepass X Cloud, I've maybe turned the actual Xbox on like 4 times in a year.) I believe the Apple Vision Pro stands in the same regards as; for the price tag it depends, it unfortunately doesn't offer too new an experience to offset the cost/product existence. Which is why I believe there's so many articles of people returning it, not necessarily because of a fear of the future (cuz let's be honest here: you couldn't care less about the fear of machines taking over if you're buying VR headsets to begin with.) It just comes down to the cost outweighing the benefits.

Head sets are now at this initial stage where cellphones were in the early 1990s like the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X which weighed 2.5 pounds. Over the next few years, headsets will shrink in size an pack more technology and productivity just like current mobile devices.

It really just depends on the trends of the consumer…we had the technology for the iPhone quite a few years before the iPhone…but the average tech consumer wanted devices that allowed them to be individuals…and liked the idea of a completely new tech experience everytime they got a new phone from time to time…eventually…the consumer wanted the cheapest device to be the same experience as the most expensive device so phones came to the resolve of basically tv screens in your hand packed with everything a computer and pro scale camera has…goggles are starting out in the simplest form to have the most technological experience…smart glasses exist for a less loud experience then you have ar glasses to kinda live in the middle…the quest is a game console…apple vision is a computer…they may make something that’s more like a laptop but this form won’t likely be eliminated…you get the most tech and power in this form…I imagine it’ll settle into home and office use…there will be a scaled down version for use on the go…they’ll make an ar glasses form to be used more like cell phones…and then smart glasses to be used in regular transit to live in the space where smart watches live so you can exist as transparently as possible…the different spaces will be independent of eachother some ppl will own just one…others will own all 4…and they’ll have 2 different types of OS the same as Mac OS and ios…and vision OS device will talk to eachother seamlessly so if someone comes over with their travel version you can collaborate on projects or enjoy content together…and then they’ll have a version that like vios or something and that’ll be the ar and smart glass concepts and those wil communicate with eachother seemlesly…and all of them will have safari and you can share safari between all 4 devices but the smart glasses will only relay audio and have subtle holographic style displays for simple images…and they’ll all be capable of spacial video, but the smart glasses will just be much lower quality cameras

yall shouldnt even be calling yourself unbox therapy if the first 2 and a half minutes are literally shots of a guy who looks like he himself needs a therapist

I bought and still have the Apple Vision Pro And no I’m not rich, I just worked hard and saved up for six months. The Apple Vision Pro is an amazing piece of technology! A piece of technology that you can’t just look at and understand how amazing it is. if you can, go to your nearest Apple store and try it out. Not to just buy it but to see the future of tech. Extra info: -The Apple Vision Pro battery size is closer to 10,000 mah -The Apple Vision Pro has two desktop level chips and a headphone chip built into it, the quest has one. The quest can run three apps simultaneously. The Apple Vision Pro, how big is your house? all in 4K. Not the same league -If you were to move the battery or tap it, it actually gives you a very simplistic display of where your battery is with its charge via a light -Apple is coming at this device as a consumption device, no doubt. The environments, immersive video, all lead into that ideal. After all, it pays to entertain people. -It’s also an amazing research device with as many panels as you want floating around you answering your questions

There’s a MAJOR design flaw with AVP where you can’t have a head strap that can fully support the weight of the main unit without it pushing onto your face. If you compare it to the Quest 3 design , the side brackets can be adjusted and any third party head strap can slide onto the brackets to fully support the unit away from your face so there is no pressure. Bit strange that Apple did not design this better with all the resources they have.

I didn’t like the intro. But the review was great. The calmness is what I really liked, but the depth kept my listening.
