I also have the Quest 3, the passthrough on the AVP is definitely much better. Just to give an idea of the performance, I can easily read messages on my watch. On the other hand I can use my computer via the passthrough, but there is enough of a light and sharpness loss that it's not a way that you would want to work for more than a few minutes. The brighter the environment the better it is. Of course I can just use my computer as a screen inside the AVP, I just gave the computer example to give an idea of the level it is at.

You just open it from the app drawer and it goes where you are.

Why would this matter? Only the person can see it anyways. Also you can only see the content on the front side of the app window

@@techtrxI think they mean for the user to not be able to see windows through the wall. Wall occlusion basically. I would definitely appreciate that as a feature. It’s weird to look across the house and see my apps floating in other rooms

@@techtrx yep, it's actually a super cool feature IMO. I've walked into other rooms, and then just dragged the windows from the old room into the new.

Don't worry you can rest easy, I don't think anyone is going to be fooled into buying the AVP so they can walk around the neighborhood projecting app windows.

Lol - you know that Oculus has been able to do this for a decade plus.... where was the mind blowing part ?

Got to be honest...this doesn't blow my mind at all....happy with my Quest 3 (which has the ability to do similar things)

"which has the ability to do similar things". I'm glad you are happy with your Quest 3, apparently so happy that you have to make things up to defend it, shame on you. The Quest can't perform outside of a 25' x 25' boundary, and you have to draw out the boundary with controllers before you can even walk around in it.

Except it doesn't 😂 I love my Quest 2 but is not capable of doing what Vision Pro does and I don't think Quest 3 is anything huge different

Why is this even useful other than a demo? It's not.
