Vision Pro reminds me of when I bought my first Panasonic cell phone. It was the size of a walkie talkie, had a battery life of about 20 minutes and was expensive, as was the cell plan. You could touch the future but there was a ways to go before promise met reality. I hope I live long enough to see this happen one more time.

I"ve had the Vision since Jan and I LOVE IT. To watch music with the G-Force music visualizer on a huge screen floating in front of me like a virtual TV I can make smaller, larger, move all around is so amazing that only people who use the device could ever imagine. Watching movies is, well, better than being in a movie theater, using the AirPods Pro or the AirPods Max really makes it so immersive, it's almost like magic. I use my Vision every day for several hours. Thanks for your great review Andre. I agree with everything you said. The day we can have something like this with some kind of 3-d hologram floating screens we can place where we want to without having to wear a head set, that's what I'd like to see, but I doubt I live long enough for that... so this is the best I will probably ever see, the Vision Pro. Cheers.

Andru, not the Pony Express! I thought you were going to start with the beginning of internet😂. You did a great job with this. You and Jon landed the one-two punch! Someone posted a picture earlier of the first Mac, MacBook, iPod, iPhone, iPad and Vision Pro sitting side by side in a display and that visual was profound. The AVP is a FIRST generation. This video gave me the same understanding of what we are actually witnessing with the release of the AVP. You were one of the first popular reviewers willing to look “uncool” to his peers. You and Brian Tong❤. Great video.

Very very much appreciate those kind words! I had to take it to the Pony Express - that was the first "third party communication" tool that I found! Just be glad I skipped over morse code! Think about how we went from that first telephone to today's smartphone. Apple Vision Pro is that first phone - I can't imagine where we are going, but it's gonna be amazing to witness.

Well said Andru! Can't wait to try it here in the UK! The experiences with Apple products over the years has been a journey for sure, excelled in many areas, as well as some failures, the adventure has been quite the ride. I remember my first ever Apple product, the ipod nano (first edition) in black, it was just awesome. My next was the bubble gum green iMac, followed by various ipod touch, iPhones, iPads and MacBooks. I've loved them all barr the iPhone 3G. I too believe that the Vision Pro is the doorway/gateway to a new generation of Apple AR devices, this first edition is a premium device at a premium cost, and I do envy a little those who are lucky enough to have tried and bought it. Anyways great video!

Personally I will never forget them. But the memory of them will likely die with us. They had their time (briefly) and they failed to change the world the way the iPhone did. The first PC I ever touched was a pocket computer from 1980. I still have that one. I carried a Pocket computer from the early 90s. I used it to take notes in university classes. I had several PDAs in the early 2000s. None of them had the impact on me or the world that iPhone did.

NICE! it's not a review, it's a philosophical analysis and that requires depth of thinking. This product has so many barriers to tackle in order to live to its full potential it will probably take 10+ years, realistic 3D content with new UI/UX designs built from the ground up for the spatial computing era, glasses form factor or even content lenses in order to really "disappear", longer battery life to last all day and the list goes on and on... the unbelievably mind-boggling engineering challenges apple itself facing in order to get there (form factor especially) is insane.

Absolutely great review. Tired of some bias review only intended to buy and return it for views/money and only have one intention of bashing it without learning from it while trying to comparing it to ipad, 3d glasses or other device that can't even come close to its capabilities and call it for a day to further hindered people of what the device is truely. That ended up making me unsubscribed them knowing they are not capable of telling what it is without rushing to conclusion. What makes great review especially something that people haven't seen or tried before, you got to tell them what it is and how it can bring something to the users experience and you did just that totally flawlessly.

I have learned I no longer need a keyboard or a trackpad as I learn how to use voice and fingers. Vision Pro is a productive substitute for iPads or laptops . While flying from Boston to Palm Springs, I was able to complete a fairly complicated 18 slide presentation. That’s what I call portable and productive spatial computing that is not matched in any other device.

Agreed AR is the future, but this product is still a concept. I’ll stick with my PSVR2 and we’ll talk come a more convenient Apple VR/AR package. Vision Pro is not convenient and that is its flaw. Can it survive long enough for Apple to make it convenient?

its actually HERE already. The iPhone was perfectly useful from day one. The iterations just made it better and better. At least that's what I take your meaning "get there"; as in ready and useful. Future iterations of this kind of tech will have you interacting with full body photo-realistic avatars transported into your living room. You will be able to sit next to your loved one/friend/colleague/first date like they are right there in the same room, even though they are on the other side of the country. And that will likely be in the next 10 years or less given what proof of concepts already are shown by Meta's "Codec Avatars".

I have been an Apple user for years and I am probably more locked in into the ecosystem as compared to a lot of people. While it is truly exciting to see Apple Vision Pro's launch (and I do believe that Apple joining the VR/AR game is a sign that this market will start to grow rapidly), the $3,500 starting price is just wayyyyy too much for the majority of the consumers. I did something that I could have never seen myself doing -- I ordered a Meta Quest 3. I am really curious to see what the future of spatial computing looks like, but the Apple tax this time is simply way too much for me.

Iphone/smartphone is just a very limited computer with a cellphone built in. It doesn't improve how you interact rather a downgrade for portability back in the day. As for VR/AR and Vision Pro, It is the first device that can overthrown pc in potential and intuitive( hand tracking not there yet ) while being portable with the capabilities of having 20 screens that float and resizable that you can place anywhere in the world, that small basic feature alone should be enough to tell you how great Vision Pro and other upcoming headsets are

I agree, I watch more media content on Vision Pro now. I have two 80” TV, Outdoor TV, and 4 65” TV’s at home…. I rarely watch them now. Because in Vision Pro the experience is Amazing. It reminds me of when I used to buy lots of High End Watches. But when Apple Watch came out I stop wearing my Cartiers because I could only get time and date on them…. Vision Pro at this point only real imaginaries get it and real imaginaries are not TECH REVIEWERS

That song by Taylor Swift, “SHAKE IT OFF,” swiftly comes to mind. We have been using VISION PRO for about a month now, and thoroughly enjoying the experience. The explorative nature of the device seems endless, and we did not purchase this to play games… Caveat, Chess and Hearts are a bit of fun… The application and uses of this device far extend beyond a mere gaming console like the MQ3, it’s literally the evolution of the iPAD PRO… 🤔

saying begining of iPhone is the same as AVP is pure madness, iPhone came in an era where cellphones were starting to become very popular, it was cool to just see somebody hold one . everybody wanted a cellphone at that time, so it was a completely different context. imo now its not the same! nobody is crazy about a VR headset only a small niche.
