But let's not forget that the standard iPhone 15 model is still equipped with USB 2.0, a technology released two decades ago, offering a data transfer rate of just 480Mbps.

Apple acting like this were their choice😂

@@AbdulAziz4CaNaDa not just from Apple stores, any MFi certified accessory would have additional cost. Back in 2014, Apple charges a flat $4 rate per-connector, not sure about now though.

i bought an iphone 15 today and when i plugged it in with the original iphone usb c charging cable that came in the box it was kind of wobbly. is this normal? am i just not used to usb c anymore?

Does anyone know if they limited charging speed for non MFi usb c cables? There were rumors that they developed a geographic locating system that would make them limit the charging speed outside of EU Countries.

data rates are usually measured in bits per second rather than bytes

Lightning is the best. It is a Sonoma connection without any additional complicated parts. The socket of USB-C (Device) has a thin part that stands out. This can be a cause of failure.
