Meanwhile, my M1 iMac is working like a charm for me. I regularly have a browser, lightroom and photoshop open and everything runs smoothly.

The only thing I'm hoping for is a decent OS to be deserving of the PRO title.

I am not interested in new iPads. I am just waiting for them to be released so that the previous ones become cheaper and I can buy one.

I want the ability to run just about any macOS app on an iPad Pro. I won't buy another until I can do that.

So the vibrations on the pencil could be similar to what Microsoft did with the Slim pen 2 and surface laptop studio?

Was going to update my 8th gen ipad but decided to go with a 13" Macbook Air M2. First Mac I've owned but all of my mobile devices are Apple so figured why not.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9 2018 and bought another M2 iPad Pro in 2023. They are identical in performance. 🎭

I would prefer they give you an option to dismiss an upcoming alarm instead of lower the volume on it when it thinks you're awake

Hopefully you don’t have to charge the pencil with the iPad again

Charging the pencil with the iPad Is the easiest thing in the world and it only takes a few minutes.

I hope Apple adds a bunch of functionality to the pencil. Because I know Samsung will counter and the S-Pen will get more features.

No ipad mini 7?

The alarm bug has been going on for years and it just now got everyone’s attention.

Do we really need a new pencil ? I believe this is just Apple getting people to buy a new pencil when they buy an ipad. Actually, what is sorely needed is innovation in the software side. The Adobe suite for example has not been fully ported to this. There's no way to do actual development on those machines ... Incredible HW but almost unusable for creative tasks ... Only consumption.

Exactly. There’s almost no need to get an M4 iPad for any use case unless you just want the novelty of having a new “M”

Congratulations for your speaker's talent, finally someone not speaking like the audience were babies. My father was a professional speaker and Radio/Tv anchor and I know what is a good professional in this area.

Im waiting on a new iPad mini, but hopefully this event brings some order to the lineup. Its way too messy.

Don't forget, the pencil would be an amazing pointing device.... Just like my pen tablet pen is in macOS , plugged into my MacBook Pro. Maybe Apple should just call it a day with ha 2 in 1 😀

Is there some sort of auto-tune or effects on her voice you can really hear it in the first few seconds.

What's the point of an M4 based iPad Pro that can't run macOS apps? It's like limiting a Porsche to driving in grocery store parking lots. I stopped buying iPad Pros because I want to run programs like the full versions of DaVinci Resolve Studio and Blender. The iPad can't do that.

They are going to add a Calculator app, right? 😃

Yeah, but there has to be good reason for this, right? Some new AI version, you take a picture of a bunch of items and it ads them up in the voice of Count Von Count, I see 3 iPads on the table MWAH HA HA HA HAAA! Why add it now after all these years?

Do you think Apple might announce a new Mac at the May 7 event? It would be quite strange to debut a new M-series chip in a non-Mac product, so if they debut the M4, I think they might announce an M4 iPad Pro AND an M4 Mac Mini.

A macOS 2 in 1 would be great! To replace my MacBook Pro and pen tablet.

I want an I’Pad with USB C, 256 GB storage, and the ability to use the newer keyboard and i want the price with all the feature noted above to start at no more than $325 dollars.

I want Mac OS on the iPad Pro.

On the list of features I would want to allure me to spend a few thousand dollars (NZD) to upgrade from my 2020 12.9” iPad Pro, the nebulous concept of AI wouldn’t even make it to the end of request queue.

So all ipads up to now have been LCD only. Wow, apple is behind in every way.

I want a iPad Pro with macOS is that too much to ask? Steve Jobs didn’t even want a stylus for the iPhone and now we are suddenly overpaying for a pencil, Apple could have introduced a haptic feed back on the 1st Gen. I mean really, it’s a stylus of course you would need haptic feed back, Wacom had it for years to airbrush. Oh geez.🙄

I want IPAD MINI Pro 😭 I’m done with anything big gadget I just want something small and efficient

Honestly people just want a better iPadOS, maybe better screens, and less golden price for storage and memory. I’m not upgrading any of my products until Apple keeps with these ridiculous prices for memory and storage upgrades.

Young men: if you've got no lead in your pencil, got to your doctor without delay and consider integrating seeds and nuts into your diet; waiting for replacable nibs with haptic feedbakc is just not going to cut it.

When I was on iphone for more than a decade, the alarm never worked for me, so I stopped using it.

no need of updated pencil with useless haptics in it, upgrading ipad and keyboad quality and layout is much more than enough

Wireless charging, or an additional Thunderbolt port. That would increase iPad's productivity by 48.36% , literally setting it loose for all kinds of possibilities and tapping into your wildest dreams.... maybe I am exaggerated it a bit, just give us a way to keep iPad charged while having a free Thunderbolt port Apple...pretty please with cherry on top?

Isn't that possible with the magic keyboard? Not saying that's a perfect solution because it's expensive but I assume a power user would want a keyboard anyways.

@@hunterjay8331 more in the line of using iPad as a passthrough device for 4k video capturing devices, for either streaming or just console game capturing, instead of using a computer. Keeping iPad separately charged at all time for such application is pretty essential IMHO.

@@hunterjay8331 Yeah, they really want to sell the keyboards, I'm thinking if you attach the keyboard to the 13" iPad Pro it goes full MacOS! now that would be the iPad Pro let loose! That would drive people to go for the 13" and buy the keyboard. People would freak out if they did that.

Why aren’t people going crazy about designing in 3D space!!! AutoCAD, sculpting, painting….its not just on a 2D space, but on XYZ!! It’s nuts with the pencil and vision together!! Ahhhhhh!!

Well… Those of us who are older than we wish we were also recall that the Mac back in the late 1980’s was kind of a great thing too. Especially because of the OS. “Windows before windows”! Although Commodore Amiga and Atari ST were quite good too… but were regarded as things for gaming and not for “serious business”. Anything as revolutionary as these things will likely be very expensive. Although I beg to differ about the AirPods. The sound (music) is rather poor in comparison with similarly priced hifi earphones (not to mention if comparing them to even more expensive ones). And unless Apple hasn’t changed it recently, they don’t even support the least lossy Bluetooth coding, because it would cost them a dollar or two per unit sold… something even the cheapest phones have supported for more than a decade.

mac OS is the only thing that iPad needs. Everything else is pointless with the current state of iPad.

Lol AI and pencil are all ready running in Android market nothing new here😂....!

The MAIN THING that needs MAJOR fixing is FACE ID!!! AT THIS point it’s EXPERIMENTAL on the iPad Pro!! Works like 10% of the time! How dumb are apple to put it where they put it???? I mean almost everyone doesn’t hold their iPad like a phone at this point!

If Apple changed NOTHING else about the iPad pros except for adding that oled screen. I’d still buy it ngl. The M3 is nice but it feel more like a spec bump than anything revolutionary

i want Journal app to be used with my ipad pro 12.9 M1, especially with the Magic Keyboard. that would be just perfect! Do it in the upcoming ipadOS18 apple! also, please let the front camera be on the landscape orientation now.
