Just use Google voice app or put a Google widget on your Home Screen. Siri works fine for me. But if you want Google voice, use that one

I agree, Siri is frustrating, when compared with chatGPT even to just understanding voice commands. Also it really should understand more than one language each time, same for the keyboard which it is still quite dumb sometimes

It works ok if all you do is control your HomeKit devices, or say "play this album here", or "take me to (wherever)" for directions. That's all I ever attempt.

@@parttimehuman thats all I try to do an still have to repeat myself almost every-time and rephrase with curse words (just being honest) then it works, also I have all apple devices and each responds different when using siri this shouldn’t be the case in our apple ecosystem, apple user for over 15yrs so I understand the products but Siri is just terrible by today’s standards

I'll take the US government seriously when they have this attitude towards the Pharmaceutical industry. They price gouge millions every day and there is no alternative. But you'll never see THAT in the news will you? I'm not saying that they are necessarily wrong, but PRIORITIES PEOPLE!

Regarding WWDC, I am looking for some significant, meaningful developments with SIRI, as well as a focus on further developments with VisionOS. Apple has to keep the momentum going on this, and not hold back.

I want to see what kinds of things we can expect related to AI and accessibility. :-)

It will be the greatest Apple event ever. They will start base model Macs with 16GB - 1TB, and they will lower the prices for storage and ram upgrades.

What about the Apple watch ? And a new much better Health App.?

Don't ever let Siri say the words "this is what I found", fix texting between all platforms once and for all, don't care what you call it, just give me chat indicators, reactions, HD photos and video and end to end encryption and the ability for anybody to leave chat regardless of platform.. I think the problem was that they bought Siri, not really invented it, so they weren’t really the ones behind developing it. Then after the initial hype died down, Siri seemed to drop to the bottom of their priority list

IMO Apple can’t just do the same level of work as OpenAI and be appreciated now. They’ll have to really raise the bar for real this time.

I would like to see a No Code/Low Code interface that automatically generates code for apps in Xcode. ChatGPT-like maybe? There are so many functions we rebuild or copy into every app developed… how about building standardized code block we can reuse just by drag and drop. I do it now for screen elements in the UI.

yeah...android phones are cheap anyway from 100dollars and you can have both anyway. And if you're the person who likes android, then use apps in iPhone that can be in android except for iMessage.

4:21 iMessage is NOT an app whatsoever. It's a messaging protocol just like SMS, MMS, and RCS. Messages is the default app on iPhones and it currently supports SMS, MMS, and iMessage and then later this year it'll support RCS too. No idea why so many people STILL don't comprehend this.

In the past they have shown software products that were in the AI realm particularly in computational photography long before anyone was talking about AI image generation. Because Apple never came out and said “this is AI” all of the pundits on CNBC decried that Apple wasn’t working on an AI product. Investors are stupid and need hand holding. So I expect this keynote to be more in tune with the “5G” drinking game they had a couple of years back.

Coming from a dual OS user, it's a end to end encrypted messaging platform that integrates hundreds of different apps and allows for larger files such as multiple photos and 3+ minute videos to be sent in their native resolution.

It’s a messenger by Apple. Similar to WhatsApp or other messenger services. The difference is that iMessage is exclusively for Apple devices and it is written to take full advantage of Apple services like Apple Pay and Apple hardware that they invented themselves like the Taptic Engine, True Depth Camera system, and the messages are secure with 256 bit AES encryption unlike traditional SMS messaging

Apple, just let Siri do more for us. If Spotlight can search our photos, let Siri do it too. Let Siri add items to individual notes. You will recognize these two things because they are things that Siri used to be able to do. Give her her abilities back. Let her control what is on our device so long as it doesn’t have to go to the cloud. Please give us the ability to not have to be ashamed of Siri on our iPhones. I can’t believe you went this long without making an all out effort to fix it. I am tired of hearing the phrase “Siri sucks.” We don’t need Jarvis. We don’t need “Her”. But make Siri proud!

AS a developer, today I went to the apple store and tried a bunch of laptops for coding.... most of them gave me skin rashes from the sharp edges..... who cares about apple AI.... I also can't even use my new ipad air becuase there is a battery drainage bug for close on 1 year now😆
