Much needed; streaming services haven't catalogued classical music very well until now. Hopefully other services will follow suit.

You can find pretty much everything on KZread Music because it pulls straight from the KZread libary. Imo, the catalog there is far superior because they don't have to deal with copyright usage laws.

Please add the brochures information of lps and cds, in classical music, is important to read them, they provide very important historical, analytical and other valuable information. Looking forward to ipad version too.

Yes indeed. I believe the proper term is “Liner Notes”….

But apart from checking the date of the music, or any other plain tech facts about it, don't read the interpretive cover notes until you have developed _your own_ feel for the music in question - you could be wrongly influenced by bad notes and other people's incorrect assumptions/feelings about it. Many note writers just lazily repeat arbitrary b/s about the piece in question. How interested are Apple in getting the notes right? - well look at the _totally_ incorrect captions to the music in this little vid for a start!
As a classical music enthusiast this is a true lifesaver! Thank you Apple!
Thank you for not playing Fur Elise, glad to see that Apple presenting other beautiful pieces!
Boring day to day question: does this solve the age old problem that has plagued iTunes and Spotify since their inception, the fact that in your track listing, both for initially selecting and also displaying what you're currently listening to, you see the composer's full name, the performer/s full name's, the piece's full name, and then finally the movement (I, II, Allegro, Sarabande, etc), which is what you want to know, but either cut off completely or makes you wait until the whole thing has scrolled past?

Almost in the tracks list, and for the currently playing track there's a circled i button to display full information about it, a display that stays that way and updates when changing tracks.

Alice Sara Ott ❤🎹
I definitely clicked for Alice Sara Ott!
It feels good that they chose beethoven pc 1, my favorite, for this ad/launch
hope apple will provide a support document on how to set up / use external DAC to playback hi-res lossless

Unlike other genres, you typically need multiple services to listen to classical music so you can hear the specific recordings you like. It would be cool Apple Music could solve this

Not a big brain in classical music neither do I know what is and isn’t where, but from what I’ve heard, learned, one of the features of the Classical app is that it has an algorithm that suggests the best most accurate/flawless recording, per song, that’s loaded into the server so far. The rest of the variations are there aswell bellow recommended. They are still working to add more music in all of its variations, recordings and releases. Hope it works out and presents a path for integration with Apples future products!
Please make it available for CarPlay and for MacBook Pros. Especially the latter - what else is the built-in high impedance headphone support for?
Thank you Apple 🙌🙌🙌🎧

I've made a number of Classical films over the years (including a Rachmaninoff contemporaries series most recently). Does anyone know how to deliver them to Apple Music? I tried Distrovid but they don't deliver Classical to Apple in any form - recording or film - for some reason 😭

Love to see Oakland's historic 16th Street station (I think) making an appearance.
iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch Version Needed !
When will your application come to Türkiye?
Where’s the tvOS app? I want to listen on my HomePods without having to AirPlay from my iPhone.
Now I think its time for me to use apple music.

This is what i want.
release for MacOS too...🎉
Every time I search for a song it just gives me albums. I end up searching it on Apple music...

Great app for consuming classical music on my iPhone, may I ask what is going on with the iPad app? It is not optimised at all, a bit ironic considering Apple always shows on developer conferences how easy it is to optimise apps for iPad OS.

The current iPhone only Classical app is likely a modified version of either the Apple Music or old Primephonic app (which I don’t think had an iPad/Mac version). Apple is likely working on a specially designed iPad/Mac app for Classical that can display lots more information than the current Apple Music app.

Actually, all of you above justifying a stand alone app for Classical, have got your understanding of the ux engineering totally wrong. Some of you may heard of Roon, which is not a server only, but a magazine full of information, across all genres for the music you own or stream via Qobuz or Tidal as well. It’s UX is way more granular and it educates listeners of Classical music way better than this Apple Music Classical is doing for now…
My music history teacher told me about this :D

Hey , why is the service excluded in turkey?
Apple Music Classical looks great but more importantly... how do I get that apartment?
We want this in Turkiye.Fazıl Say,one of the best turkish pianist is on your commercial.I can see and touch the app but it doesnt goes anywhere.
I’m so glad about it, but it still needs some updates 😅
ok… but from what I’ve heard I can’t use it with the hundreds of classical music tracks I’ve already collected in my Apple ‘Music’ app? Is that correct? Is this only for use for Apple Music streaming of classical music? If so, I’m pretty disappointed.

All the classical/film score tracks I saved in the regular app show in classical for me. Already in my library, playlists are also there and shared across the apps.
cool, now put it on Mac
Maybe Apple music could do something about the fact that they pay artists peanuts for every 100 streams compared to what they would get for a single track downloaded through iTunes???
While AirPods Pro and AirPods Max will make for great listening, having wired, high-definition audiophile headphones to listen with takes the greatest advantage of spatial audio classical.
@mikeward1701

I think AirPods Max can be used in wired mode for higher fidelity audio.
Apple Music Classical plays but nothing appears on screen in Apple Car Play. Is anyone else having this issue?
Apple now just needs to incorporate finer elements of music theory into its code!

Offline listening is desperately needed, otherwise the app just exists for discovery purposes
Lacks music quality settings and doesn’t say if the file is 12 or 24 bit, 96 kHz or 192 kHz. Otherwise really solid app

JAZZ APPLE MUSIC!!!???
Amazing how Apple portrays a black man actually genuinely being interested in classical music, as if that at all reflects reality.
ok
To all the 27 of us who listen to Classical Music - WOOHOO!!!
Fix the damn playlist bugs ffs It keep duplicate the pieces
Ep.1 I care not to service
The apple music icon is way to big inside of the yt channel cut out
I already paid for my iPhone I ain’t gonna pay even more for music
Looks like a good app. However, in this commercial, which features an American conductor promoting an American company, there is no American music. Beethoven is wonderful and played beautifully by Alice Sara Ott, but can we please get some American music in there?

this is made for classical music because classical music has way too much metadata to properly fit on other platforms. They made this so that it will be easier to find and save the music you like.
