Fernando - do you think either the hardware or software will be modified to compete against the e-ink market from companies such as Remarkable or Kindle Scribe? Maybe a switch to go black and white or a screen that will feel more paper like?

I don’t know if it’s possible. I’ve seen it in windows PC/ android where you can switch between operating systems. Not happening but how cool would it be if the high end iPad pros could switch between ipadOS and Mac OS 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great news. Apple hopefully will overhaul the entire iPad lineup. I want a mini with the premium display. I don’t need a “powerful” Mini for content creation.

Def hope for a mini. But I’m wondering if apples going to join the digital note taking space a la amazon scribe and the remarkable. Based on the image and the term “loose” I think there’s a play on loose leaf notebooks happening meaning a writting dedicated tablet could be on the way

Watched the video, but still have a question...so will the new magic keyboard be backward compatible with the M1 or M2 iPad Pros? Only thing that would have me upgrading from my M1 iPad Pro to the M3 iPad Pro would be if the keyboard only worked with the M3 and it also worked with the Vision Pro. I've been holding out on a new magic keyboard for the VP as I do not want anymore lightning devices. Hoping they release a usb-c magic keyboard and trackpad for the Mac lineup...but probably makes sense for the M4 lineup release.

I would like to say yes to the maxed out iPad Pro with the M3 SoC; however, my long standing practice of upgrading every other iPad Pro release may fall to the wayside. I still activeky use my Gen 1 and Gen 3 iPad Pros daily; however, Apple’s move to a 13” display from 12.9” offers no significant increase that would drastically aid me with the artwork I do. I have to say that I really am hugely disappointed in Apple after the 14” / 16” hype all of 2023. Either of these would have sold me on an upgrade this year. The other thing that is definitely concerning is the flaws in the M1, M2, and M3 opening up the can of worms to security issues which I understand will not be resolved until M4. Given both points, I will probably not upgrade this round per my typical upgrade cycle. I’ve done this as well with iPhone 14/15 being on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just not enoght tech change to warrant the expenditure. We’ll see what 07 May brings though.
