    Actually I am a bit afraid of letting the oven overnight... I don't know why I feel like I will burn the house. Hahah how many hours exactly? Maybe I would do it rather in the day

    It takes about 8-10 hours. I know what you mean about not leaving the oven on overnight. My oven can go as low as 100 degrees, so I feel safe leaving it on all night.

    Some additions you can use, singly or in combination, include unsweetened dried coconut, almond powder, a bit of vanilla, and pears. The texture is not as smooth with the coconut and almond powder, but I do enjoy the tastes.

    Curious to know, are there any other fruits you like to use besides apples? I’d assume pears and other similar textures ones but have you ever tried plum? And if so, is there a noticeable difference in texture? I’d also like to say that, the atmosphere and feeling from your videos is so beautiful and serene, I hope that over time your channel grows and grows because the work you’ve put into your videos is just, really admirable and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing it with us. c:

    g v k, the sunday before thanksgiving, after mass, i am traveling 12 hours north from zone 8 to zone 6b. this trip i will take the scenic route thru the shenandoah valley. thru the valley i will pick up 2 bushels of mountain apples. i plan to make your apple leather and i need to make more a c v. most of the apples will be used for my morning apple banana blueberry chia smoothie and about 6 dozen are destined for butters, fritters, jams, juice and some will be thinly sliced for holiday pies. thank you for posting the apple leather video. if i had 2 more hands i would give you 4 thumbs up.

    Hey, why not using raw apples and a dehydrator ?

  • @GourmetVegetarianKitchen

    @GourmetVegetarianKitchen

    4 жыл бұрын

    The raw apples are a good idea, but as I have so many raw foods in my life I don't do all of them that way--maybe I'll try it next time. You're right that a dehydrator would work, and my oven basically runs as one because I set it to under 100 degrees F (37 C) and the convection fan runs too.
