I hope you try this recipe, Carl. It's really tasty, and not spicy!
Actually I am a bit afraid of letting the oven overnight... I don't know why I feel like I will burn the house. Hahah how many hours exactly? Maybe I would do it rather in the day
@GourmetVegetarianKitchen

It takes about 8-10 hours. I know what you mean about not leaving the oven on overnight. My oven can go as low as 100 degrees, so I feel safe leaving it on all night.

Some additions you can use, singly or in combination, include unsweetened dried coconut, almond powder, a bit of vanilla, and pears. The texture is not as smooth with the coconut and almond powder, but I do enjoy the tastes.

Eres la mejor 😘😘😘👍
I'm glad, some one like you know about fruit leather (Pestil-in Turkish). I love this healthy snack and used to make with grape or plum. I will try with apple too. Thanks for sharing

ขอบคุณนะคะ ตอนทำก็นึกถึงมะม่วงค่ะ แต่ที่นี่หามะม่วงสุกแบบบ้านเราไม่ได้เลย ดีใจที่ชอบค่ะ
Curious to know, are there any other fruits you like to use besides apples? I’d assume pears and other similar textures ones but have you ever tried plum? And if so, is there a noticeable difference in texture? I’d also like to say that, the atmosphere and feeling from your videos is so beautiful and serene, I hope that over time your channel grows and grows because the work you’ve put into your videos is just, really admirable and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing it with us. c:

Thank you so much for your kind comment, you make me feel very special. Yes, I made this with other kind of fruits too. Peaches, plums and sometimes mangoes, I like them all. The texture is very similar.
You and you vedios are so classy...
Could you make preserved cucumber? Looking forward to it 😊🙏

g v k, the sunday before thanksgiving, after mass, i am traveling 12 hours north from zone 8 to zone 6b. this trip i will take the scenic route thru the shenandoah valley. thru the valley i will pick up 2 bushels of mountain apples. i plan to make your apple leather and i need to make more a c v. most of the apples will be used for my morning apple banana blueberry chia smoothie and about 6 dozen are destined for butters, fritters, jams, juice and some will be thinly sliced for holiday pies. thank you for posting the apple leather video. if i had 2 more hands i would give you 4 thumbs up.

Can we use stove method not oven to dry the apple pure?
I’ve watched several similar videos and often wondered if anyone has tried using a convection oven?
Whay do you call the strings to tie them, so i can look them up online? They look so pretty!

Hello, this is my first time knowing apple leather and it really looks yummy. I just wonder that can I skip the sugar part? Or sugar is necessary? Thank you
@GourmetVegetarianKitchen

Yes you absolutely can, it's not necessary at all.
What measurements do you use for the sugar and spices? And what is the temp stuff of the “lowest” setting on the oven.

So glad you like it! If your tap water is clean then you can certainly use it. I like to filter out the chlorine in our city water and any contaminants that may have gotten in on the way to my house.

Yes as Violette said it is a snack. I used to give it to my daughter and friends when they were young and most everyone enjoys it. Because the fruit is dried, it keeps very easily for packing and storing.
The Instant Pot cooks the apples in only 3 minutes at pressure. Easy Peasy.
Can we pressure cook it???

I have never done it that way, so I can't tell you for sure. Apples are very and fast to cook though!

Hey, why not using raw apples and a dehydrator ?
@GourmetVegetarianKitchen
4 жыл бұрын
The raw apples are a good idea, but as I have so many raw foods in my life I don't do all of them that way--maybe I'll try it next time. You're right that a dehydrator would work, and my oven basically runs as one because I set it to under 100 degrees F (37 C) and the convection fan runs too.
