Thanks for doing the necessary for this great product. Nice, no nonsense video. Love it 👊. I purchased the carpuride W903 for my 2015 Honda accord coupe. Love it. It gives me audio control like never before. Functions great for navigation too (better for my older 50’s vision 😜). This carpuride requires a backup camera without the led lighting , but that’s ok. I feel it should be bright enough. I have it on order direct from the factory. Love this CarPlay device. I’m going to purchase one for my daughter’s 2009 Camry and significantly upgrade that’s cars audio and reversing capability. Will make a great Christmas gift! Much appreciated commentary!!!

I purchased a similar unit and there is an additional red wire branching off of the Unit side of the RCA cable for the reverse camera. The instructions make no note of this wire. Any idea?

Same here! You ever end up figuring something out for that little red trigger wire? Really trying to avoid taking out the radio and tapping in at the Head Unit's harness.

is there a way to use the reversing camera without hard wiring it into the electronics of the car? I'm not competent in even the most basic of wiring, and I do not own the car myself so I cannot risk destroying anything. When I try to use the camera currently, it shows me a split between front and rear

Just got my Carpuride 2 days ago and velcro yesterday. I have the same situation that you described. The arm sticks out too far, and the unit blocks my vision if i try to stick it on the windshield or the dash. Jeep life, right?

Thanks for the video! Just wondering what you used for the Trigger Wire on the Display side? I know most stock installs would just tap in at the Head Unit's wiring harness, and use the reverse gear indicator for the "convenience wire" (that little red power wire coming off the extension video cable). But I'd really like to avoid having to remove the stock radio just to wire that in lol. Even would use a manual switch if there was some other place I could tap into for the right amount of power. Appreciate any other suggestions you might have too, Thanks Again!

(the unit I have is a cheaper version but with all the same wiring components and connection ports. That's why I'm assuming mine doesn't automatically trigger on the display)

Use a 12v tester-check the wires and find the one that reads 12v when the car is in reverse.

When I connect the camera, and reverse it makes the screen go blank…. Or shows picture for a split second and goes blank. I have led taillights… do you think that could be the issue

I just bought a Carpuride 10.3 for a very old jeep but WITHOUT the backup camera (on purpose). I bought separately a 360 bird view camera system, but the installation of the later is going to be messy so I wont do it on my own. I asked the Carpuride people if this setup will work and they “somehow” answered “yeah sure” but zero guarantees… Im not sure they really understand English… did u ever consider a better camera system?

Carobotor K1 is a much better option for a Jeep JK.
