Does the midnight performance still use the Volkswagen software so it looks like a OEM one such as the clock when you turn off the unit ect?

Love the buttons. Look very Audi to me but I guess I have never had a VW and they are all from the vw group. Cars still looking great.

mirror options mirrors your phones screen so anything that is on the phone screen appears on the head unit but on mine its not touch i still have to press on the phone, hope that answers your question

Hi mate, I installed this in a mk5 golf but having battery drain issue. Got an adapter to fix this but then won’t turn on with car and turns off after 30 mins (doesn’t connect to canbus). You got any advice?

Some radios have a cable somewhere which has a joint in it disconnect that and it'll fix the issue. It's because these are made for many different cars so for most of them you don't need to do anything and it's fine but for some you have to disconnect that part

This radio hasn't got a sub out port however if you check my video on the order radio that one has a sub out port and will work completely fine

The link isn't to an old one it's to an even newer one. The RCD started giving me issues so then I changed it to a new radio I tested a few out and then settled with the one I put the link to. It's the fastest and most reliable one I've used and I've never had any issues with it so that's the one I recommend to everyone now

Yes it does you just need to plug it into the yellow cable on the back of the stereo

I just installed this on my 2014 gli and the backup camera isn’t turning on. I have an oem backup cam from factory not an aftermarket one. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but if you know lmk thanks

Hmm not too sure. I don't know if they're compatible with them. Maybe check the fuse something could've blown when taking the old unit out

The yellow wire is for a reverse camera so if you havent got one then you won't need it

Make sure everything's plugged in correctly. With the reverse camera id recommend getting a good mechanic to install it.

Same sort of installation I changed the unit in the description because the one in the video has issues. So the midnight Performance one Is what I have now and that hasn't given me any issues

The one in the description has got usb ports check the description of it. The unit in the video started to have issues and that company selling it were getting really rude and even scammed a few people so then I changed the link to a unit that I've tested and it's good got all of the same functionality as the one in the video and a few extra things, it's even faster and it's a much cheaper unit.

It depends on which one you have but usually there's a wire with a joint in the middle. Disconnect that and that should fix it. It's because for most cars you need that but for a few of them you don't

Hey fizzy I’ve had this unit for almost a year. Some things I’ll be honest regarding it. It started playing up, in terms of connecting at times. Sometimes if I move the apple wire slightly it will turn off. And sometimes it will take long or keep saying, unlock phone, when it is. I’m sick of it. I’m thinking of removing the CarPlay screen and fitting it in again. Any idea if this would help out ? Or should I opt in for a new screen. I don’t really want to. It’s my first car and it’s not a great car but might remove it, if it doesn’t work at all.

Yeah it was good for a bit but then similar thing happened to me and a few others so I tried out some new one and the best one now is the one I've put in the description. Id really recommend that if you are looking to change the screen and it has even better features like wireless Carplay and so on

You can plug a mic in and place it anywhere on the car and the GPS you just stick somewhere hidden in the car

Oh that's an odd issue with the date. Maybe try resetting it. And the reverse screen I think it might have an option in one of the menus just check through all of them and you might come across an option to turn it off

The updated one is faster, better connection, looks more oem, has all the features in the old one + more, most just a lot more reliable. Also you can watch KZread, netflix and other things you just download whatever apps you want

Yeah it does. Carplay runs off your phone so any apps on your phone that support carplay will come up on the screen. So if you have Spotify on your phone it'll show up on carplay.

I'll be completely honest with you mate. This unit started to play up after a few months then I switched to a new one and this one has done me good since then so I put the link for the one I've got now in the description. And this one is solid I haven't had any issues and I've used it nearly every day for over a year

Well it's a bit confusing. If you get a good android unit then yeah it's 100% better and has more functionality but I know many people compare the cheap £100 android units with a £200 rcd 330. But I linked a good android unit in the description if you're solid. That's the one I use over the rcd330

Not really. You just glance at it + you listen to it and it's fine. Most cars had the screen like that back when this came out and it was completely fine.
