Just picked up a ⅜x½ speed-Y and another Appion hose and core remover. I used to have the JB SuperNova nothing but problem from day 1. Dumped that for BluVac Micron gauge.

How do you like the BluVac? I've been thinking about getting one.

@@alittlebitofeverythinghome4333 Fieldpiece MG44 most accurate gauge ive had. toss that supernova trust me. Had 3 different supernovas all brand new, 1st one gave me a 405 micron reading and held while isolated for 30 min... ended up having moisture in the system. 2nd one was reading a 2100 vacuum at atmosphere. 3rd one had a 2500 micron reading difference from the MG44 while pulling down on a centrifugal. That supernova will get you in trouble trust me.

Can you turn the y the other way? to have the 1/4” on the port (with 1/4” y to 2 3/8s) and have 2 hoses pulling on 1 port? As I have 2 3/8 hose ports on my vacuum pump, I also have a 1/2” so could have another 2 to the other port? many thanks

All three ports are the same size 3/8. You can hook up the Y to the 3/8 port on the vacuum pump and use your two hoses to pull from that same port on your vacuum pump where the Y is connected. If you need a visual let me know I will do a video or a live.

So ir wont mess with your vacuum when you have to take off and put your gauges on?

Any process can mess up your vacuum if you don’t have a shutoff valve or schrader tool removal hooked up to the unit. If you would like me to do a video explaining the process let me know.
