i too, am left eye dominant, right handed shooter. ive been a really good shoot my whole life but to see me shoot looks like ive had a stroke, because where my cheek placement has to be on the weapon. when i was younger i was kinda self conscious of it and wanted to learn how to shoot with my right eye. nothing seemed to work and i was never as comfortable shooting as i was when i shot naturally, as odd as it may have been, and looked. but ive gotten to the point (prolly because of age) where i dont give a shit anymore. it works for me, and i am confident and effective shooting with my left peeper.

Hey homie I feel you. I'm left eye dominant and shoot pistol right handed! Its a struggle. But I also shoot rifle right handed but I'm currently retraining my self to be right eye dominant while at the same time attempting to learn how to shoot rifle left handed as well, I've always had an affinity towards being ambidextrous; I think it would be one of the most useful tools to have in the old toolbox. Right up there along with being bilingual.

I mean, transitions are fast and smooth but other than that, cross dominant sucks. I need to shoot rifle righty more.

I feel it too, I'm left eye dominant and shoot both pistol and rifle right handed. If I using a red dot or acog shooting rifle right handed isn't actually that hard but man trying to shoot long gun right handed with irons is a chore.

Hey Fish, wondering what kind of rucks you like to run when wearing armor? People have told me FILBE packs, and some of the newer plastic ALICE compatible frames carry well over armor because of the hip belt being forward from the pack. Suggestions ? The CF issued 82 pack was already bad, but the 64 Pattern ruck I have is falling apart even thought it carried a bit better over armor.

I stick to mystery ranch almost exclusively but have also had great luck with EXO Mtn Gear. Kifaru did the over armor thing for a while but I think they canx’d their military line. EVERYTHING is better with a mystery cinch though if you can use one.
