Shane asked why ECW is still talked about, and Hak gave the right answer. For me, in my opinion, those far too short years were pure magic. Lightning in a bottle. The roster was the perfect storm that will never happen again. As a wrestling fan since as far back as I can remember, ECW's heyday will always be my favorite period. Thanks to each and every one of them.

Good interview! But Shane mixed up the two "fire" spots with Funk and Cactus in 1995. Shane is describing a match from April of 1995, but the fan getting burned happend in another match in October of 1995.

I was at the tables next to them when Raven Introduced Sandman to Lee Marshal at the Cleveland Marriott. I'm surprised this didn't come up...

I remember early Tri State wrestling with guys like DC Drake and Larry Winters having pre ECW type hardcore stuff going down , like fighting in the balcony and tons of blood ! And i loved it ! That basically turned into ECW

when i was about 15-16 years old i lived in a town called Lansford, PA for about a year this was like 95ish maybe? and this town was literally 10 mins from Jim Thorpe we used to hang out up at Flagstaff all the time you could see Flagstaff from any of the surrounding towns all lit up way on top of the highest mountain it looked so cool from a distance but up close in daylight it was a SHI*HOLE lol. it was a bar and it was always 21& older we could never get in. i used to hear rumors of a hardcore wrestling promotion that booked events there but sadly i never got to go see ECW there

I know I basically broke my neck when I got rear ended leading to C5 thru C7 Fusion. I was a jolt away from being paralyzed without any clue for months until finally got sent for MRI. So can easily have serious injury without knowing it. Sandman I don't think I ever seen that surfer gimmick heh. Least he didn't take it from the Spiderman guy. I like the story about Cactus Jack taking his name from that place. I used to think there was a video game where guy was bounty hunter in west who had character like that too. Funny seeing Sandman sitting next to a thing of milk. I met him along with Sabu shortly after he got pulled over with RVD. Autographs but smacked Hak on back so hard it jogged him into reality. AS he didn't hold up arm to show tat during pic :).

ECW had Steve Austin for a brief time. Stone Cold first showed glimpses of his legendary character with those promos ,but why is it never spoke about that his beer drinking gimmick wasn't improvised a little from the Sandman's gimmick

I like Franchise as a performer but he's not a great interviewer. All the questions are too leading and his intro/background to questions take away from the shooter in the interview. Basically, he talks too much.

Both of these guys are wearing shoes that a tacobell manager would wear and the blue dress slacks are brutal...its always been a thing with some wrestlers they dress like shit.
