The things i remember most about ApocZ: Lying to my little brother and telling him DayZ came out on 360 Everyone calling the cop car a Mustang (it was clearly not a Mustang) People glitching their tents inside the same building at the military base thing 9/10 people being the super dark black guy A redneck 10 year old having a temper tantrum and doming like 4 people he had been playing with, over him not getting to drive the "Mustang", the whole time screaming "THATS RIGHT THATS RIGHT THATS RIGHT" until his mother started yelling at him and took his controller 10/10 game would play again

The nostalgia! I probably can still make it to my hidden tent on that map

On 3ds there's a similar (but in my opinion better) DayZ clone called Ice Station Z. It's got a tasteful looking low poly style that gives it it's own charm and overall it manages to create a great ambiance. Unfortunately since the eshop has closed it is no longer updated. There's also a thing called BattleminerZ, that is basically a more unique looking CastleMinerZ for the great little console that is the 3ds

naw, i never forgot those game. i couldn't get dayz, didn't have a pc cus i was a kid so i asked my dad to buy this dayz clone for me because i saw frankie play it once. i love this game and remember it so fondly despite how basic it was. i'm so happy to see it again.

Wow this blows my mind from being a kid watching the first frankieonpc video of a open world survival game DayZ and this was the closest I could get to it and I enjoyed every moment playing this game. DayZs now on console obviously so, but I will never forget playing this with my hidden tent on an island and that one guy who gave me a glitched can of food that lasted forever.

I played so much of this game around my sixteenth birthday, great memories

I remember being a moderator for ApocZ forums and there was a lot to get involved in behind just casual play, there were clans recruiting people and arranging PvP days. I’ve personally seen the two images of Kevin’s injuries and I can say, it’s not something you would’ve been able to show on KZread anyway. Love ApocZ.

Alrighty I hope this one will be the most interesting I used to play this so fucking much early in the morning I joined a clan for it called SOF or soldiers of fire. We had broken the game every way possible. From being able to go to outside islands and placing tents to glitches and hiding thousands of tents in houses if we were battling it would be at the air base we would take cars and place them in the front door way to block on commercial but the countless days I had spent running around the map changed the game if I could show everything it would change the output of this game. Please ask what you like :)

I have almost all of sics games

I remember I used to play ApocZ on the Xbox360 with my brother, and we would always theorize what the next update is actually going to be like, describing all this nonsensical garbage, which at the time could most likely not even be done on the Xbox but we still hoped for the next update, and then we both found out about the creator's accident which he described to me as "a motorcycle accident" (don't know if it actually was a motorcycle or not) we were both very upset at the news that the update for the game was not going to come out because we spent many hours in that game, and many other arcade games like Murder Miners, CastleminerZ and the fun but crappier Castleminer Warfare. I don't really care how the game ends up on steam even if it is different, I think its cool that its finally being worked on again.

Naw there's no way people are concerned about ApocZ being an asset flip on Steam, the original game is an asset flip ffs LOL

ive never seen anyone admit to anything being a dayz clone... there are so many XD even what you call "dayz" i consider derivative and inferior to the original mod (tho i prefer old patches before they removed features like crossbow crafting and wire fences and metal bases.
