Unfortunately autism and addiction are two things that don’t go well together. Addiction itself is hard without autism. I’ve met quite a few autistic people in recovery and almost all of them relapse really fast. It’s sad.

I have ASD and an Addictive Personality, and I can second this. I cannot have prescription painkillers and I have to be very careful about being around alcohol and other substances. I'm acutely aware that if I'm offered, I *will* take it and abuse it, even if I'm telling myself 'No' in the moment. My subconscious knows that I enjoy being intoxicated far more than I enjoy being sober and I will find some way to justify taking whatever I'm being offered. The solution is always therapy and a support system. Clean 2 years ❤

I’m gonna add some insight, as I knew this kid from high school. Josh was always extremely socially inept. He would walk away in the middle of conversations and didn’t understand that lots of people were making fun of him. He was on the track team and he would do all kinds of crazy shit. The team would run at Sunken Meadow State Park in King’s Park for practice. He was known to eat live crabs and worms off the beach/dirt on the track. He would also pee off the side of hills towards oncoming runners. As for World of T-Shirts, that’s a brand name he come up with. My school has programs for kids with disabilities to try and help them out in life. One of the activities was creating a business and selling products to students and teachers, which is where the name comes from. He actually sold t-shirts before he was famous. He began to blow up in 2020. He was top 3 in my school for followers on Tik Tok, behind my brother and some girl whose name I don’t remember. My brother had just under 420k followers at his peak and he was bringing in quite literally thousands of dollars a month in sponsorships. Josh got to talking to my brother about it. Josh was dead-set on passing him. Eventually, he did and he passed that girl too to become 1st place in the school. He became a bit of a celebrity in the school. We had an NCIS LA actress and an MLB player graduate from my school, so it wasn’t this crazy small-town thing. The adults didn’t know who he was. The thing about the janitor is true. He was a janitor at the school after he graduated. My school likes to hire former students, whether or not they have disabilities. Any information after that is public. As for the fish thing, that happened at a stream in Patchogue Village, by the Blue Point Brewery. People fish there pretty frequently when the weather permits it

@@bardforhire8345 Nope. For more context, my school had 2,430 students/staff members in 2019 when I graduated. I’d venture to guess over half the school had no clue who Josh was. I only shared one class with Josh my entire school career and it was in my senior year. A kid (Joe) I was friendly with liked to mess with Josh, since it was really easy. For example (this was a tech class), we built wooden catapults and had to launch plastic balls as far as possible. Joe would tell Josh he didn’t see his catapult launch the balls and that he must be lying. Josh would then say “I…I…I…Diiiiiiiid” like clockwork. I have videos from that class of some of the moments like that. I told Joe to stop a few times, as bullying a special needs kid is kinda fucked up

But the fact that it is his instinctual go to insult almost every time he gets particularly upset makes me think he’s 100% projecting his own insecurities at least then. I’m sure we can all imagine how many times people have made fun of Josh’s employment situation 😂 It really is a constant battle juggling between feeling bad for Josh and being infuriated with him

If he had therapy instead he could turned out differently. It’s crazy to think about how things like that can change your entire life

He seemed to have not done anything bad to anybody but he obviously has some sort of trauma ( like his mother passing, not knowing his father, Grandparents probably not caring enough about him to stop his antics ) so he resorts to drinking heavily. honestly the best ending for him is to get away from that weird italian and get both Him and daniel into a group nursing home. Combine that with no responsibilities, enablers, low IQ and he's never gonna stop because he lacks the insight to see how bad it makes things.

Another folk on the spectrum here. Except this time, I was a case of "autism miracle". Diagnosed at 5 and have been through a lot ever since. From therapy to catch up with school. From bullying to designing characters as a "friend". No remorse from the bullies and no vengeance from the offended. All suffering was deserved and all hard work was paid off. A long story of what I've experienced and even longer for those around me. On my worst days, I've blamed autism for everything that happened. But thanks to years of learning, therapy & (importantly) discipline, they were only said inside my head. As an upcoming art teacher with a post-grad degree, I like to convince myself that I'm the "Chris Chan in an Asian family" and jokes aside, I also find Joshua & Daniel very interesting. Besides autism and the Lolcow Cinematic Universe, these two must be a quick answer to "what if" my childhood was different. No matter how I disliked it, mine was lavish compared to theirs. I had the intervention, the experience, the discipline, the hard work, ambition and hunger for knowledge and truth. And I did, even though my parents were poor back then. In a parallel universe, Daniel is a famous musician who've grown out of Grace and has finally found the sound of his very own. And Joshua will distract himself from doing crazy shit by training to become a professional athlete. This "what if" is sad, considering that even the slightest choice of education and parenting could determine what adults will those children become. The rule does not discriminate, on the spectrum or not, and I hope their stories will serve as warning to future parents like me.

That fish thing was crazy, I was the one who recorded it. The explanation is long as hell but to make it short I caught a fish from that river and looked up and saw Josh, recognized him and said “wanna release this fish for my video” in his defense he didn’t really say yes but he put his hand out and I gave him the fish with the expectation of him releasing it and then I’d have a crazy video to show my friends, then he proceeded to do that. He kept saying the dirty pond wasn’t right so that could be why he killed the fish but I don’t know. I posted the video and it was up for a day and got removed. That’s where my random subscribers are from

I don't understand why or how nobody has taken Daniel and trained him in either boxing or boxing, Muay Thai & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is beyond me. Lord Danderson beats the ever loving shit out of himself and smashes his head into things causing him injury, losing teeth and even breaking his nose many times and he doesn't go down. I've not seen him ever get rocked and drop and he hits himself pretty hard so while that would be an interesting thing in theory I think giving the Rand Rand Danderson Man that kinda training would put the public and people he freaks out on and threatens to hit during his _many_ public freakouts. I've seen others say that Daniel may meet his fate by attacking a stranger or a cop and being killed and I see that having a high probability because over the course of his life he's been homeless and in hospitals and he likes to try to be homeless to avoid the wards.

It makes me so sad that every time an autistic person goes viral it usually doesnt go well. People start egging them on and they end up doing more and more things that are not ok. I am a firm believer that chris chan wouldve never turned out the way they did if it werent for the internet

Chris was already a creepy guy before the trolls, he didn‘t respect girls‘ boundaries. Secondly, Chris already believed that cartoon characters were real, the idea guys expanded on that. Also he is a dude, he has said he is claiming to be a lesbian in order to get to lesbians because he is too creepy to get a woman.

One of the problems with Josh is he doesnt face consequences. His disability gives him a free pass from any consequences most non disabled face. His grandfather probably does care hes just really old and has thkse age issues to deal with. That fish was alive Josh just escaping consequences as usual.

You mentioned the tiktok of Josh calling out Daniel, but there’s a little lore that is pretty unknown about that. I know someone who pretended to be a company and got close with Josh. He then convinced Josh he was fired from the company and became his behind the scenes guy a little before Quinn came into the picture. He convinced him to call out Daniel larson to a boxing match, which really hyped up the whole Daniel vs Josh lore. He also convinced Josh to post some other stuff but then decided to cut contact with Josh.

whats funny is daniel larson followers had no idea why he was in nyc, and add to that the whole reason he got into a fight in the bodega is bcus ppl in a discord live call were telling him to start a fight with ppl, never referencing world of tshirts once, its super interesting

Modern day Chris Chan... Josh is just a lolcow and the internet enables it for him constantly buying him alcohol and other stuff.. he even just recently started a cameo and supposedly made 4k in the first 24hrs and that's probably gonna kill him having access to that kind of money as unhinged as he is

good video, pretty well put together for being a small channel but if we are being honest there should be no "documentary style" or "downfall style" videos made about josh until his wrath is finally and truly over. Every night he stoops to a new low, you would think something like the Hudson River incident or Casino Debacle would be the craziest thing that Josh could get himself into but just two nights ago he got into an altercation with multiple people on a train, which could have gotten him seriously hurt. And we haven't even made it to Vegas yet, so you do with that as you wish.

wierd thing, but i had no idea Josh was this popular, or things had gotten as bad as they have. Were friends on TikTok and have been since before he was big- and its just crazy to me to see how he is now. because when i originally followed him and he followed me back he wasn't nearly as erratic as he is now. I only hope for the best for Josh.

That's the joke..

I think that Josh is binge drinking because he doesn't understand what addiction is. He sees all these advertisements and pictures of people drinking and partying and he sees these things and thinks "hey people like they drink and they're liked. So I should drink too. Then I'll be liked" I know this for a fact as I have known people like this. Sadly with autism and socially unaware people and booze are a deadly combination

As someone on the spectrum, we’ll said. My family has addiction issues, and my mother *drilled* into me this, and that if I ended up on something, get help. She taught me what addiction is and what it entails. She used to work in addiction clinics as a senior clerk (she works in a school now), and methadone clinics when I was small (she was reinterring the workforce), so she’s seen it all. I have as well, dealing with my abusive father and exes. I’m teaching my son, who’s also on the spectrum too, this as well.
