00:12 THE APOCALYPSE OF ABRAHAM (Abridged in the video) is a pseudepigraphic work (a text whose claimed authorship is uncertain) based on the Old Testament. Probably composed between about 70-150 AD from earlier writings and tradition possibly kept from the time of Abraham, it is of Jewish origin and is usually considered to be part of the Apocalyptic literature. It has survived only in Old Slavonic recensions and it is not regarded as authoritative scripture by Jews or any Christians, though it likely held some prominence up into the first century A.D.
"The Apocalypse of Abraham belongs to a body of Abraham literature flourishing about the time of Christ. "The Book is essentially Jewish," wrote George H. Box, with "features . . . which suggest Essene origin." Yahoel
Yahoel (or Iaoel) in the Apocalypse of Abraham is the mighty angel sent to guide Abraham. Yahoel introduces himself as a being possessed of the power of the Ineffable Name "whose name is like unto that of God Himself". As the angel nearer to God, or perhaps as a manifestation of the power of God himself, Yahoel is said to be also the heavenly choirmaster, the one who teaches the angels their hymn, who has the control over "the threats and attacks of the reptiles", the angel with the chief task of protecting and watching over Israel. These functions were traditionally ascribed to Michael and mark the gradual transformation of Michael, originally the guardian angel of Israel, into Meṭaṭron. Yahoel's body is depicted as being like sapphire, his face like chrysolite, his hair like snow, his turban like the appearance of the rainbow, and his garments as purple, with a golden sceptre is in his right hand. Iaoel and Yahoel have been used also as alternate names for Metatron.
Azazel
In the Apocalypse of Abraham, Azazel is portrayed as an unclean bird which comes down upon the sacrifice which Abraham, the Biblical patriarch, has prepared. This is in reference to Genesis 15:11, "Birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, and Abram drove them away".
And the unclean bird spoke to me and said, "What are you doing, Abraham, on the holy heights, where no one eats or drinks, nor is there upon them food for men. But these all will be consumed by fire and ascend to the height, they will destroy you."
The Apocalypse of Abraham associates Azazel with Hell. Abraham says to him, "May you be the firebrand of the furnace of the earth! Go, Azazel, into the untrodden parts of the earth. For your heritage is over those who are with you" (14:5-6). There is also the idea that God's heritage (the created world) is largely under the dominion of evil. It is "shared with Azazel" (20:5). Azazel is also identified with the serpent which tempted Eve. His form is described as a dragon with "hands and feet like a man's, on his back six wings on the right and six on the left." (23:7)

I like the part where Abraham repented of cursing his enemies. Many are waiting for the end times for people to be wiped out.

Bless you dear sister, same here, and I shed tears in that moment, and I felt the holy spirit and knowing and wisdom come upon me and wished that all people would pray for each other and wish well to each other instead of cursing and wishing each other death and destruction. It is a total fiction story . Created for the European Byzantines traveling and arriving in the northern territory of Today's Romania. Re-translated for/by .... As they did not have bibles to share those times People rewote from thier own perspectives... according to their customs and folk tales.

This was a good story though and i agree i too apreciated the remorse and asking for forgiveness for cursing other people.
Although I love these stories this one doesn’t match up with original canon. In Genesis 23:1-2 states Sarai was 127 years old and she dies before Abraham in kirjatharba. Abraham mourned Sarai. That’s unless I missed something in this story.
The test is hard,the reward is very geart, a seat at the table is my goal.

Let the reader discern the content. The historical content of these excluded books have value.

Not sure if I have such right and if its the right thing as judgement does not belong to us but to God. Lets think - God could also make all people mute in an instant but he doesnt. He can also mute all the evil speakers in a twinkle of an eye but He doesnt even do that. Why? Its a big question. He respects human freedom and sends rain for just just as for the unjust. Our free will is a great gift of God. That is one of the things what makes us humans. Though being divine (as its driven by reason unlike is case with animals) its double edged sword. Hence there is accountability in the afterlife.
How could his father called him Abraham when his name was Abram

You must have READ THE wrong BOOK. Please READ THE KING JAMES BIBLE AND FIND OUT THE TRUTH OF GOD. SARAH DIDN'T FALL DEAD.NOR DID ABRAHAM KILL HIS SON ISAIAH. Bible says Sarah died before Abraham now this sounds different
I don't know something is off about this, Noah cursed Ham's youngest son Canaan, so For Antaham to relent for cursing his enemies?🤔 hmm sounds like so real nonsense, I don't recall, Moses praying for Pharoah nor Joshua, layering and blessing his enemies. So that part along with Abraham dying before Sarah is way off.
So there you have it folks! Death may be ugly but at least he's honest about it! -Kinda like an honest murderer.
Interesting but has a bunch of contradictions, Abraham's father Terah wasn't burnt up according to Jashers, also Sarah died before Abraham upon hearing that Isaac wasn't dead. also it is strange that God killed the wicked and then brought them back to life, and if they are wicked and God answered Abraham's prayer why did Abraham consider it a sin? why would God answer a prayer that led Abraham to sin? we know Abraham was a righteous man, meaning sinless and perfect in all of his ways.
I don't think so this story is true because Bible says Sara was first die not Abraham first die totally fake story

No graves have been found of any Torah characters, don't you all see that's strange. Archeologists have found ancient Kemet people from thousands of years ago.

@max m they would tell the whole world if they found any of the bible characters and you know it. They cannot because it wisdom that was taken from Khemet (Egypt); they made up characters like Abraham Sarah Moses to make it look tuff, but it's all made up. Right from the start, the Torah tells you where it came from Genesis = Genes of Isis. I can go on and on showing you things. Max m have a good day.

@max m Its not about worshiping the dead; its about evidence. I won't even get into the planet Qi (Earth) is flat I have a telescope I have seen other planets and the sun, and they are round. Good day max. Until they find one grave from the main characters from the torah story its a myth like the Harry Potter books.

@max m I know all about the chip Max. Yes, they do want us to riot because they want to declare martial law. Also, the government is saying we are running out of coins that are a lie; what they want is to get rid of the cash period.
Any discerning believer in scripture knows this is heresy, it would be sad if I had to point out where is the biggest heresy of all
