I consider APO as one of the greatest pioneers of OPM. To me , they were the the Beatles of the Philippines in terms of their song writing prowess , their fun,meaningful and timeless songs. We watched them once on their farewell tour here in Atlantic City. I gather they had a falling out because of politics, i wish they would get together again and do another tour here in the US on a large stage like Las Vegas… sold out for sure!! “Princesa” and “Salawikain” should be included as part of their greatest hits.

i was already on college when got reunited with my father. pinagddrive ko sya madalas and e2 lang ang nagiisang CD nya sa sasakyan. he passsed away couple years after we met. it was short, i lived my whole life without him. but maaaan i admit whenever i listen to APO songs i missed him.

Para bang kailan lang tayo naging bata, ngayon matanda na pero pag makakinig tayo sa kanta ng APO manunumbalik ang ating kahapon... hay nako kong maibabalik lang sana ang nakaraan...😢😢😢

Hearing Apo HIking Society reminds me of my childhood days back in Philippines. Great era for OPM in my opinion, including Boypren, Sampaguita, VST & Co., Yolly Samson, Dulce and many more. Many good old memories in Philippines during the golden years of the Philippines under the Marcos reign. My family left Philippines June of 1980. My father got a job in Canada.
