Yes, I got the name wrong. I was doing some research before posting this, and it turns out that the distinction is quite difficult to make, with a true Viejita being very rare.

Update: Apisto caught dropsy along with the bettas during the sorority experiment, and although I ordered medication, it arrived too late. I have since replaced the Apisto with a trio of Bolivian Rams, which I have found very interesting to see colour up and spar with one another.
