    I run 2 of these now, good UPS!, found them at the scrap yard needing new batteries, put good ones in, nothing wrong with them!

    Ed, it's good to see ya back on KZread! :D These are really good units indeed, although the fan is a little too noisy especially at night, here in India we have 1-2 hour power cuts almost every other day, so a UPS + home inverter is mandatory! :P I've got 2 brand new 12v UPS lead-acid batteries :D I wonder if I can wire them into the UPS (there is an external battery pack connector slot on the back, rated at 24volts but will need to find the exact connector, will look on e-bay) so a total of 4 batteries, 2 inside ups and 2 external should increase the backup time to at least 1 and a half hour. :D

    Those aren't Ethernet ports, those were RJ11 (telephone line surge protection for ADSL modems) seems like they have removed those from newer UPS models. And that isn't a LAN port either, connector looks the same, but its USB. Hope this helps. 😊

  • @TechGuyCharlie

    @TechGuyCharlie

    3 жыл бұрын

    It charges just by plugging in, you don't need to switch the UPS on. Its also advisable to leave the mains on and switch power on and off using the power button on the UPS that way the battery remains charged and does not degrade. I still have original batteries and they still provide good backup.
