Great question! I never thought about this. Here are some parts/systems associated with romantic love: ventral tegmental area (VTA)/caudate nucleus(“reward pathway”), dopamine, oxytocin, hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, etc. Let me know if you find a link between there parts and self-love.
