AOT Monitors Panel Webinar 6/15/23

Zoom recording of AOT Monitors Panel Webinar from 6/15/23.
In June of 2023, we highlighted the important work of AOT monitors across the country, beginning with this AOT monitors panel. This role may have a different label in your program, but we use “monitor" to mean anyone who serves as a liaison between the court and treatment team, monitoring both patient adherence and delivery of services.
When it comes to implementing AOT, one size DOES NOT fit all. Our advice is, to make sure that whatever you do is allowable under state law and that it addresses the nine essential elements outlined in the AOT Implementation White Paper. Beyond that, we encourage communities to consider the needs of those who are caught in the revolving door of homelessness, hospitalization, and incarceration, identify existing resources including treatment/service availability and court time, and amplify the strengths of your most engaged stakeholders. The panel features four panelists from counties of various populations throughout Ohio that have done just that. Hear from them as they discuss their program structure and how these three factors played into that design.
Panelists from Ohio include Nicholas Schrantz, AOT monitor from Butler County; Rachel Moore, AOT monitor from Cuyahoga County, Sarah Hyatt, AOT monitor from Hamilton County, and Depree Taylor, AOT monitor from Richland County.
