    @@ChrisRosser doesn't the apexDC have a squished X geometry that looks like a DC? Not hating - but impulse made a point that while it looks like a DC, the motors are still laid out on on the four vertices of an imaginary rectangle - which is squished X. Same as the regular apex, just all arms pushed further back along the body?

    Excellent overview of your new frames. Really like the option of the 5.5" frame. While I love my standard Apex frames running Kiss, your explanation of why the AOS V2 geometry is better for getting props out of view is compelling. I do have an extra Ultra fc that needs a home. Right now I'm building the AOS-7 to run iNav, love how much room there is for large batteries as compared to other 7" frames. Happy flying everyone. 🤓

I'm literally speechless. The fact that it was the smoothest frame I flown without tuning. I actually don't want to change a thing in BF lol juicy flips are clean. It is a very response frame, very crisp. It sounds crisp and sharp. The punch outs were solid, no stutters. I tried to create prop wash and it was a task. I'll full throttle burst in one direction then yaw spin 180 degrees and then full throttle burst out. Almost nothing on prop wash. Even coming out of hard dives were smooth. Motors were slightly warm. GREAT JOB CHRIS!!!

    So the motors attach with just three screws? Are there special motors for that or is the fourth screw hole of a standard motor simply not used?

  • @h3rtz

    @h3rtz

    2 жыл бұрын

    Answer to myself: yes, the fourth hole is not used and unfortunately even extends beyond the arm as you can see at 27:49. Seems to be a great frame but that puts me off aesthetically. Looks like a mistake really (though I totally understand it's intentionally).

    shop.newgatesimms.com/product/pg-44a/ It's simply a solid lubricant with a very high viscocity designed to dampen vibration. It is very different from any grease you have likely used before.

    NICE !!!!! I’m serious thinking I’m ordering mine now !!!!! I have a question I’m pretty sure I heard you say that you use the Iflight 20 x 20 F7 stack. Have you experienced any freezing of your FPV feed with the DJI goggles? The reason why I ask is because I’ve built a vista nebula pro with a 20 x 20 T motor stack I use the 55 amp Tmotor ultra ESC and the F7 20 x 20 HD Tmotor flight controller. I was getting video freezing after flips and rolls occasionally very sporadically I install a 1000 UF capacitor and a fat techs bike absorber and I’m still getting video freezes on rare occasions and then switch to flight controller to the Aikon F7 20 x 20. I am still getting the same result. I’m next going to attempt installing a 35 V 370 UF capacitor on my Vista unit I don’t know what else to do. I was thinking it might’ve had something to do with the BEC on most 20 x 20 flight controllers ? I run 5&6 cell 2306.5 GepRC motors Mark 4 frame.

  • @ChrisRosser

    @ChrisRosser

    I've never had freezing of the video on fast flips and rolls I'm afraid. It will either be ESC/Motor related, a loose cable or faulty vista/camera. It's pretty hard to figure out what if it's only intermittent.
