Anything Worth Saving Here? PA JUNKYARD Walk Through

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This place has been around forever and will not be for much longer. Decided to do one last walk through. He wants ~$1100 for most of the cars. Which is way too much imo.

Man, I can tell I am getting old! All those cars you did not know what they were were the cars of my teenage youth. The 69 Dodge Polara convertible (A low volume production with just 1495 built), the 1967 Pontiac Le Mans right next to it, the Subaru BRAT with T-tops, the Jeep Cherokee, and yes, that side striping was a factory trim option. The ford step side short box, early 70’s late 80’s Fiat Bertone X1/9 (those were very cool little cars that out corner and drive a Mazda Miata without even trying hard), very early Ford Rangers. Brings back memories.

I really miss my childhood. Wish I would have realized how cool my childhood memories were going to be. I grew up with my father owning a big junk yard and mechanic shop. Unfortunately he broke his back by having a loader bucket drop on him and crushed his spine. life back in the 80s and 90s was just different. If I knew what I knew today I would have cherished a bit more.

Because older Fiat cars usually already rusted in the brochure! 😁 ;-) 3) A 4WD Subaru Brat with a T- bar roof? Never seen one of those. Great little cars, especially for winter time. 4) By the way: I simply love the Datsun 280 ZX with the T- bar roof. The famous Graf Goertz body style/design is simply gorgeous and the engine almost indestructible. Unfortunately they rust a lot. 5) I also spotted a VW Karmann Ghia. Best regards, luck and especially health to all 4 of you.

The Subaru Brat would be worth getting back on the road. Shout out to Tulsa Winch, in business since 1929.

Would love to see "will it run" on some of the Japanese & European cars you come across. Results may not be as easy/consitent as the domestic stuff, but interesting engineering all around.

The body on the BMW looks great. Depending on how complete the engine is it might be worth a try.
