Anycubic Photon M3 Plus - Review and Unboxing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I broke my 3D printer, well I didn’t break it but the screen did die so it’s broken for now. I needed to replace it and I bought this Anycubic Photon M3 plus with a 6k screen to see what the fuss is about. It’s worth noting I reached out to Anycubic a few times to work with them on a video like this but I had no reply so I decided to put my own money where my mouth is.
So this is my review of the product I bought with my own money. Hope you like and if you decide to buy one please use my Amazon link because any kickback will be helpful to the channel!

    I just stumbled across this video by chance and I've a sonic mighty 4k as well. I've got it 11 months and it just died as well. 2 weeks before the warranty expires. the led screen I have 2 months packed in and the led array has a dead area on it or a square area isn't lighting up. I'm currently onto the manufacturer about this issue to see what if anything can be done. i mean a 600 euro machine should last longer than one year in fairness. one thing about resin machines is they last so long then its a door stop and almost as much to repair or buy a new one. the m3 screens are abit cheaper also. only thing is the fep modules need to have the frames replaced so its a straight buy from the anycubic shop or anywhere that has them.

    Good review. I'm considering buying the m3 but other videos are coming off more like advertisements/infomercials. One guy even threw in at the end "yeah by the way this isnt actually a review, anycibic sent me this printer so I could make this video." I realize the M3 and M3 plus aren't exactly the same thing, but certain features are the same, such as the textured build plate, which this video is the first I've come across to speak on the extra wasted resin, and is something I hadn't even considered. Great video.

    The m3 and plus are two different machines. The plus has 6k screen the m3 is only 4k also size wise the plus is twice the size. And yea they didn’t give me anything. They won’t even reply to my emails and messages.

    I ended up getting an M3 since it was cheap $270 with free shipping from Amazon. Great build plate size and very quiet machine. I ended up having to mod mine a bit for my needs (seals around lid and hook handle on top), but genuinely surprised of what it prints out despite its advertised micron size. Only downfalls were the need for seals on the lid and the FEP on frame design. The FEP that Anycubic uses though appears to be decent and I don't really hear any of pops from FEP release. Get the M3 plus if you want a better machine, but M3 is a great budget option.

    your dust comment made laugh so hard. i probably replayed that point at least 20 times the specific part that had me was your Comment "I HATE DUST"after describing how it magically appeared. And therefore because I have watched a bunch of your other videos at this point. I truly know how why you really have a gripe with "dust"and well I couldn't agree with you more my room seems to be a dust factory it's a bit nutty. Honestly though with the kind painting you do and the resins work with your hatred of it is in my book absolutely dignified!.. I support your hatred my friend. I love you cause you are very talented, you are wealth of knowledge, and prob my favorite you have a great way of slipping in your phenomenally timed dry and just downright weird humor. I myself have a similar taste and talent for weird humor presented with dignity haha. you are good at being you and comfortable with your weirdness and I respect that unconditionally Sir! @@Eduardo.Cordova as seen in this video at 2:16, there is a "protective film" on the screen. This is just to protect the screen from scratches during shipping/unboxing. But some people leave it and use it as a screen protector. The actual screen protector doesn't come pre-installed.

    Hey man I just saw your vid on lychee and noticed that you're using the pro version. Is it worth it over the free version? The main thing that I wanna be able to do is to change the base of the supports to a tapered one for easier removal (I don't really use rafts). Another thing is to keep the holes I made as an object so I can just stick it back in after printing. This can be done in chitubox but I like the interface of lychee much much better. And also what's the main difference with the hollowing modes in the pro version?

  • @Groundeffected

    @Groundeffected

    2 жыл бұрын

    Nah lychee doesn’t offer to keep the holes. And I’m not sure about the bases of supports but you do have a lot of control over them in the pro version. I just got pro because it’s my preferred slicer and it don’t cost much

    I saw some people theorizing about heat generation, I haven't researched more about this topic but might be good to learn about it and maybe it's a good video topic... Less heat means your LCD lasts longer... I guess stronger light draws more energy Wich generates more heat? I saw an KZreadr theorizing that lower uv power and longer exposure timers gave him better prints... Also I had problems with cured resin on the fep sheet due to the heat, longer light delays solved but I might try lowering the uv power...
