As someone who *used* to have cardiophobia, there are two things that made me feel better. First, was my doctor saying "your heart is a really strong muscle." She was right, and I think we tend to forget just how strong it is. Two was realizing that it was a cyclical thing, and worrying was just feeding into it. I know it seems counterintuitive, but you absolutely gotta just stop caring, because all that worry you're experiencing is stress, and that absolutely will eventually kill you, so you're making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. You gotta learn to let go of that need for control. Be well.

Vagus nerve stimulation can also be done through another technique. Take one hand and put it over your head to yiur opposite ear. Lean into your shoulder so that you are still comfortable and look in the direction of the touched ear but look in the top corner of that side of the room. Hold it for 30 seconds and then do the same for the other side.

People these days have poor diet and getting less exercise. Check with your doctor first to make sure things are ok. Anxiety is a different ballpark and they manifest in different ways for many people. Anxiety is fueled even more if you feel like there is an impending doom coming in. Then it gets worse. Your adrenaline goes high and that itself makes your heart pump fast and hard. Making you even more nervous. In psychology, they call it a fight or flight response. Your mind is focused on the anxiety/nervousness and hard to relax because your mind is looking for a way out and you're thinking about the worse outcomes vs a way out. Your body isn trying to fight or run away. I get palpitations not from stress. I have an arrhythmia as well and I'm also overweight. Doing best I can to lose weight because obesity makes your heart work harder. Equates to heart pounding harder. Your heart is saying "help".

Hey, you must go outside and live life, sunbathing will help you as they helped me. you being home, static and worrying is just making your symptoms worse. Eat less processed foods, excersise, walk, get enough sleep.. and the palpitarions will fade. Trust me, I have deslt with them before, usually get them every december and january because I am mostly inside, sitting, don't get enough sunlight (vit D).
