You are SO right … many professionals including therapists have no understanding on how to deal with agoraphobia specifically. I can totally relate to all you are saying. Dr Claire Weekes audible book gave me more progress then any professional. So happy you have made it through! Keep making videos you are helping many people who need the support.

thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry you went through that. I started to develop severe anxiety and agoraphobia after a painful divorce (ptsd) and then dealing with fear of the Corona virus. I'm getting better with therapy, hypnotherapy and actively working on this but it's tough specially when all the symptoms want to hold you back. My goal is to get on a plane soon and travel again (never had fear of planes until this onset anxiety). Any tips to deal with the symptoms while on a plane?

Great video your so right about the doctors they are terrible when it comes to anxiety unless you got the big bucks. I once had a doctor prescribe me schizophrenia medication due to my intrusive thoughts i was so concerned about and now even i know a person with schizophrenia don't worry about there thoughts they hear voices for crisis sake , unbelievable really is. I have been going through my fears but i don't think im completely running towards them , i was at work yesterday and we stopped for 5mins i was looking out at a tree in the distance and i felt a little off balance so i thought this is anxiety agen so i said to my self well bring it on I've had anoth and my god did it bring it on i felt totally off balance and couldn't walk straight which scared me and lasted 2 mins then i was super sensitive about it after i fill like anxiety won that one agen and a little concerned about going bk to work agen but i got to i got 4 kids and am the only bread winner so it kind of stress me out and also no one at work knows i have it i work on a building site they don't care and will just take the p everyday if i say anything so don't want give them the satisfaction. Great vid mate.

Thank you for your comment. By any chance was the medication called quetiapine? I was offered this twice during my ordeal with this crap both times throwing the medication in the bin as I went home and researched it and seen it was for psychosis which completely freaked me out and made me more anxious "why is he giving me this medication am I getting worse , am I becoming psychotic" people struggling with anxiety disorders are very fragile when it comes to things like this they will obsess and obsess over this kinda stuff googling and thinking non stop. Only a handful of amazing doctors/ psychologists/ therapists etc truly get it. And in my opinion that's just not good enough it's no wonder people go years without the correct help and support.

@@FromPanictoParis think it was called that this was 10 years ago like you i have suffered a while now and am also at the point where i think whats the point of living if your to anxious to do nomal life. Totally agree with its not good enough so many will continue to suffer for a disorder thats been around well since humans properly i also think its made worse with the news and pressure put on everyone these days , for example i cant go a hour with out hearing some scary add on radio, news or social media about covid or heart problems 1 in2 will get cancer ect ect they literally sell the fear all day every day.

Yes Gary I had my fair share of battles with these thoughts. Struggled through them. As soon as my anxiety levels started to lower these thoughts faded like they never existed. These thoughts are only there because your nervous system is sensitized. Don't fear these thoughts they hold no Truth.

@@FromPanictoParis love your videos brother. I'm a fanatic runner, I love it and I've had anxiety for about 35 years on and off. DPDR is my worst symptom... 3 major breakdowns and I'm in the middle of my 4th now. It's agony, 24/7 relentless agony... Maybe we can get a wee 'jog' sometime! I'm up in Co. Down! Take care!
