Antur Stiniog Washout Bike Park Check!
Спорт
You join me for a wet and wild bike park check at Antur Stiniog which is located in Snowdonia, North Wales.
We take a ride through black powder and stop off to look at a couple of features along the way.
It's a great little park with a mellow atmosphere and really fun trails. Not the largest runs compared to other bike parks in North Wales but well worth a visit if you're looking for some flow with a bit of tech thrown in for good measure.

haha True that! Plenty of this weather to come soon in the UK!
Wow, I haven't been there yet but after watching this it has actually made me want to ride it more. It's the way you deconstruct the trails that gives me confidence. You are a determined mtb'er though. Fair play.

Ideal! Good to hear it!
Great review. I've been going Stinny a few times a year since it first opened. They've 'softened' the blacks a lot in the last few years, smoothing out all the rough or techy parts and getting rid of some drops. Not sure why, possibly to poach BPW riders who are more towards the beginner end of the scale whilst leaving the more hardcore stuff to Revs and Dyfi. Having said that, you will now go a lot faster so it's no less fun, just doesn't need a DH bike so much anymore. It's still got enough rocks to break your rims so make sure to put a few extra psi in your tyres unless you like buying new wheels.

Thanks Stevo! Yeah great park, shame that it's being tamed down although that is what will get the punters through the door!
Ah, yes. The height of the Welsh summer. Blaenau must be the wettest place in the UK.

haha, brutal isn't it! But without the rain there would be no greeness! Gotta love a bit of Wales.
Sick vid, those conditions were horrible 😂. If your ever near Sheffield, you should check out peaty's steal city dh track

Cheers Sam, it was brutal! Once you're wet through then the damage is already done! haha Thanks for the tip, I'll add it to the list!
Fair play for committing to the video in those conditions!

Hi, Yeah the Marin was only given to me on loan for a couple of weeks. My current bike is a giant Reign 27.5 I've done a review of it here -kzread.info/dash/bejne/lIt_r9WMj6qempM.html
You get a like 10s in, just for riding in that weather. I don't think I've ever ridden in wales where there hasn't been a weather warning in place.

Haha Cheers, When it rains so much over there it makes you appreciate the sun more! Well....that's my philosophy anyway!
The weather does hit you hard here , and don’t wanna sound like a know it all but some of the sections there you doid where made more difficult as you weren’t carrying enough speed , I’m guilty of this myself here , watch Danny harts run here , you will get a lot of tips and be able to do the blacks a lot better , great vid , good commentary , I’ll be there next wk 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Yeah it's really open to the elements, fun little park though. Hard to hit something full tilt when going down it for the first time! haha! look forward to returning someday....
I'm guessing it's not that bumpy considering the fact that he had wet hands on grips without gloves 🤣👌🏻
