He is the guy, I had a awful feeling every time I heard McDaniels speak, it’s the opposite with AP, we finally found our leader now let’s go get our quarterback and get back to greatness!

AP carries himself like a veteran coach. His interviews are solid... I see why the team rally around him. Professional, yet still got that dawg in him. Win or lose.... he is a True Raider!

When asked questions, AP never stumbles or bumbles, he simply and confidently gives a straight answer, which I see as a sign of complete sincerity. No nonsense or corny platitudes like most corporate coaches like McDummy.

I’m so glad to have this man as our head coach. 25 players in the building the day after the super bowl is some villain origin story stuff

Cohesiveness and accountability is the key for success.

I'm more proud to be a Raider today than I ever have

To be real, I been a fan since rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, Lincoln Kennedy, Tim brown and them boys. I more excited to be fan now cuz I know for a fact we are led by someone who loves the Raiders just as much as me. It's in our blood. Having a good team doesn't mean to love em only when they re great. It's believing the greatness is coming is what makes me so excited. It's cool be a die hard fan when ur the best. It just feels better to me that we got a coach with that killer instinct inside.

Love the swag and confidence of HC AP - he's gonna have to be even more focused and brilliant overall, and get that killer instinct keyed in. Especially because now the CHARGERS got Jim Harbaugh at HC. It's gonna be intense! Just Win Baby! RAIDERS!!!

Time will tell. But the players really love and respect and respond to him so that's a good start. Plus he's humble enough to realize he's a first time head coach and isn't too proud to bring in some help covering all the bases while he figures it out. I'm cautiously optimistic knowing the league hates us and will always do everything they can to screw us

It has been so long since this organization has had any significant level of sustainable success. However, the organization's foundation was built on decades of excellence. It is hard for the fan base to attach themselves to any new regime since we are numb to the past promises and expectations. At least this feels right and there is a 9-game stretch where we went 3-1 in the division and provides hope that we are trending up. I wish them all luck in turning this franchise around.

Yes!! He played with AP as a youngster and in college. He went to LSU after AP left Arizona and went to the Raiders. Same story with Jack Jones
