From undrafted to Super Bowl Champ to NFL head coach, Antonio Pierce is the new face of the legendary Raiders and he’s bringing his own flair and style to coaching. From his mother’s impact to his influence as a player and now in a new leadership role ready for his biggest challenge yet.
While in Vegas for Super Bowl, Ryan, Channing and Fred sit with their good friend and newly hired NFL head coach and the man rebranding Vegas’ biggest attraction- the Raiders.
When Antonio Pierce received the late October night call from Mark Davis, it took him three different times to answer. At the time, The Raiders seemed to be falling apart, on a slippery streak, dropping games and losing the locker room which spurred some massive changes within the organization.
Parlaying his locker room leadership and unique life experiences, Pierce was able to reunite the players, the team and everyone in the building focusing on a common goal of winning together and unity, which landed him the interim head coach in a surprise move.
The inner-city only child had always leaned on one person, his mother who passed a few months earlier before he became into his next challenge…Pierce shares a personal moment with the guys that while while he waited for the official news of his hire, he took a moment of quietness outside reflecting on his life and how far he’s come and ended up looking up on the sky seeing two shooting stars, reminding him of his mother and minutes later found out that he was being named Head Coach.
Immediately the vibe changed in Vegas, and the Raiders seemed to start straightening out their previous issues. Josh Jacobs was getting positive yards, Davante Adams was making 50-50 catches and Maxx Crosby sparked a new fire amongst his teammates from attacking QBs with more fuel to smoking cigars celebrating a new energy for the black and silver.
Although the off season has been filled with a lot of changes, trying to find the right people for coordinators, find a quarterback to build around and make sure everyone is in step from the janitors to the cafeteria workers to the coaches to the players…being accountable and responsive to the plan forward. Pierce lets us in on his motivation, what keeps him grounded and how he is able to be a friend to his players but an enforcer when it’s time.
The blueprint is laid out, Pierce is committed to getting the Raiders back to a Super Bowl and already have won a Lombardi trophy as a player is now looking to be a world champion as a coach too.

As a 70’s kid. My first team was the Steelers. In 76’, I became a Raider fan. I was 5yrs old then. I’ve been down with the Raiders ever since. Jack Tatum looked like my uncles, and John Madden looked like the butcher down the block. AL looked like a mob boss. And they played like gangsters. There was only three teams that mattered. The Raiders, The Steelers and The cowboys. I was very spoiled as a young Raider Fan 3 Superbowls in 7 years. And the last 40 have been hard. But the lifestyle of RAIDERNATION goes beyond the games. This feels like that ole skool Raider way. The chiefs just won the chip, and I can’t wait to tap that ass next year. We will win the AFC WEST OUT RIGHT. RAIDERNATION🏴☠️☠️🏴☠️☠️🏴☠️

As a raiders fan it feels great to finally have a coach who wants to embrace who the raiders are and what they should be instead of trying to be something else
I’m gonna be honest I had never even heard of AP until he become the intern HC of the Raiders. I know a lot of players on the Raiders supported and went to the front office and said they wanted him as their next HC. That says a lot of what kind of person he is and what kind of coach he is. Now seeing this interview I absolutely love this guy and have a huge amount of respect for him. He’s going to be a winner as a Raider HC. He’ll have the Raiders back on top soon. He’s a players coach and will be a winner no doubt.
The vulnerability and trust with each interview is unmatched!

I didn’t know much about AP, but I think I have become one of his biggest fans. I wish him the best. He really impressed me in the is interview.
Raider fan here for 20+ years since birth… McDaniels tenure made me hate football so much and football season, no joke once AP came into the picture and we won games, his post game interviews, weekly conferences, etc. as a fan the shift from evil to the point we are at today is night and day. The chants from our last game to AP is the definition of that.

I've been a Raider fan since I was 7 years old. That was back in 1972. Over the last 52 years, I have seen them win championships and stink up the league. I was 18 the last time they won the SuperBowl. AP has me fired up for what's to come!! He is going to bring back the mystique, and the Raiders will be Champions again!!

It meant so much to me to see Antonio get emotional while talking about his mom, and finding out that she was his best friend. My mom passed away a month ago, so I know what AP means when he's had those moments of asking, "Where she at?". My mom was the person I was closest to besides myself, and to not be able to call her, tell her things and hear her voice or get a text back anymore... I still call out to her sometimes, wishing that she would appear and could comfort me. I was already a supporter of Coach Pierce, but I connect with him as someone who had a close relationship with their mom and doesn't have any siblings to lean on. Thank you for not holding back the tears, AP. I needed to see that losing your mom is even hard for a tough, man's-man like him. Some people don't get how tough it is, but this just reassures me that it's normal to still get emotional about it.

How many times have you watched this? I swear, I go back to this just to listen to AP.
As an Eagles and Steelers fan, this is heartwarming to see. Especially considering that I use to play Madden with all of these gentlemen being in the actual games. I will keep an eye out for the Raiders next year for Pierce (and Crosby and the rest of the team). I like the way they played down the stretch this year, just need a QB to tie things together.
