I go to these Antique Auctions too.you buy the catalogue from their offices which are already numbered.It costs 500shs.You then have Monday to wednesday to go to the venue personally to check the stuff out and mark on your catalogue what interests you and youd like to bid for.Come Thursday from 9.am the official bidding starts and each item which is numbered in Lots already jave a starting prive tag which is usually quite low.As it proceeds,the different bidders will battle it out and it goes up each time till more bidderscontinue dropping out leaving the last two to duel it out.By this time only the one with more financial muscle ends up with their hand/catalogue up in the air and hes declared the winner.Onve done at this point the bidder will have given a deposit of between 30k to 50k depending on the items on auction.Say your totalbill came to 20k,you will be givenyour balance of 10k and if you surpassed your deposit you simply top up and a receipt is handed to you
