anti TBR || books I am NEVER going to read

Never is a strong word, I used it anyway, lol.
In this video I am naming books I am definitely not planning to read. Booktubers can't stop talking about them and I'm like "nah"!

Haha fair enough about Addie LaRue, there really isn't a lot of plot in that and if you don't think what is explored is interesting, it can surely be a drag. I actually enjoyed it, partially I think because I didn't read the blurb/summary beforehand, and I didn't have any expectations for it. On the other hand, the Shades of Magic trilogy made me MAD by the second book because the first one has so much more plot and stakes than the second one, so it felt like a betrayal to me lol. Vicious I like as well!

I feel you on most, almost all, of these books. It's not even hard feelings for me, but just a lack of interest or knowing well enough that they aren't for me. I would also recommend giving The Hunger Games a chance because I feel like they aged well.

Lol best vid on KZread, at least an honest vid for a chance from booktubers. Most books mentioned are insanely overrated and trash.

Now that I'm in my thirties I am happy to say I don't feel like I need to try to read grimdark fantasy to try to prove myself anymore 😅 So I'm probably never gonna read The Blade Itself!

Yes it's a lot more fun and funny then you'd think. Still a rough setting but very enjoyable

Fourth Wing is written like fanfiction with shitty prose and dumb characters. Yarros stole characters from other novelists, incorporated Scottish language incorrectly. Almost every other YA writer is miles ahead of Yarros in terms of quality.

But why??? I'm not saying you're wrong for not wanting, but I just don't understand what is the point of this video x) . You even say you see a lot of people talking about a Court of Thorns and Roses but never really explain what it's about, but then you don't explain anything yourself and go straight to the next one 😂 .

The point is sharing my perspective on things (I get that this video is kinda subjective) and sparking a conversation in the comments. Maybe you also have books you have zero interest in, why not name them? Also when I love a book I try my best to explain why it's so great. I even made four videos that start with "Why It's Worth Reading". Need to do more of those.

@@RockstarWizardess Well, I have some, sure, but I don't understand why you'd go the length of making a video about it but then not explain explain why you're not interested. I actually did not get your perspective here, because you didn't explain anything. Same thing with books I'm interested in btw, or have read and liked, or have read and didn't like: sure, why not make a video, but then explain the reasons for your opinion, subjective as the might be, otherwise I really don't see the point. You do you though, no hate here. I just thought it was kinda strange and a bit funny (especially that remark I cited in my last comment).

It's not only that it's about suffering, A Little Life is a bad book. Badly written, full of repeating, cliches, stupid characters and absurd reactions. It's just bad.

Really? Haven't heard anything like you say about the book. Lots of people seem to really love it.
