anti-spill alcohol stove

This is a small simple alcohol stove made made with glass wool, candy can and metal mesh. It's not the most efficient stove, but it's arguably the safest, as the glass wool absorbs alcohol and reduces the risk of spillage.

You can then put it into your pocket to use as a hand warmer :-). Love the simple, no nonsense video format too.
If you get another lid you can turn it into a simmer ring by adding one big hole in the middle. :) Carbon felt also does a great job at soaking in the fuel.
Very cool idea! Thanks for mentioning why you'd recommend not sanding the metal.
Cool idea👍👍👍

Easy to just try it
Cool!! Easy ! And fun to make ! How long does 20ml of alcohol burns ? And also .. can you refill it with fresh alcohol? And I just found out , you can’t burn denatured Alcohol or have open flames in CA campsites.
Thinking about putting this stuff in a trangia
What size of this steel mesh? 20 , 30 mesh?
How long does it take to boil water with the lid on? Say, like 12oz
👍 nice
Olá! Quanto pesa tudo? Quanto tempo demora a ferver meio litro de àgua? Qual o tempo máximo de combustão com o fogareiro cheio? Obrigado desde já. Adorei a simplicidade do design e do 'Pot stand'.

Tem vários "fogareiros" comerciais com este design, como o Kojin da Trail Designs ($11.95), o StarLite da Zeph Stoves. No canal do PaleoHicker tem um teste de fervura com um Kojin, o nome do vídeo é: Is the Search OVER??: The BEST ULTRALIGHT Alcohol Stove System?? - The Caldera Cone
Nice idea this is camp fire
Materials and how to source them?
Some stoves like this do not use the steel mesh you used over the wool glass. Please tell me why you chose to use it. Thanks.

You should really use gloves when handling glaswool or rockwool.
Quanto tempo ele fica queimando?
@Sokol10
5 ай бұрын
Good ideas More trouble gas stove come here please Semangat Pagi dunia
Better to use Rock-wool instead from Glass-wool.

You don't need use the exact same can, any small round can with lid could be used, e.g. shoe polish cans, Nivea cans... The wire mesh can be from kitchen sieve - he use anti-bug mesh for windows. For the wick - besides Fiberglass, Carbon Felt, Ceramic Wool; can natural material like Rock Wool, Perlite, Vermiculite, cotton bagging, cotton... The wick slow down the alcohol burning rate, making the stove more efficient. If want a very easy do make small alcohol stove, search for "Fancy Feast" stove.
