According to the Lund report the Norwegian network was already in existence before May 1945, and ROCAMBOLE simply coopted a private initiative by industrialists, shipping magnates and resistance leaders. There were in fact at least two or three competing initiatives in 1945, with some overlap in leadership.

    L. O. K. stands for "mountain raiding units" it's the special forces branch of the greek army, the term is an echo of British WW2 terminology ( the original unit was part of the desert " raiding" commando) and although many members of those units was also members of many gladio schemes the stay behind network included members from all the greek military branches and they had different operational plans depending on the situation, in sort if an communist government had been elected or taken power by others means they could stage a coup by their operatives taking over the command of the army, and that's what they did in April 1967 after serval false flags operations they launched the coup to" save the country from the communists theat " On the other hand in the event of a foreign invasion and occupation the operatives would had to organize a resistance network mostly from men recruited during their military service with serving or ex members of the LOK playing a major role in organizing and training those groups.. Fun fact at the mountains of Central and Northern Greece people are still stumbling on supplies caches from that period 😏

The closest thing which comes to mind is the army of partisan fighters that was trained in Romania, in case of an invasion. They mostly consisted of young men and women who had a little bit of training with older equipment(i.e. usually ww2 blot action rifles or SMGs) and they were part of the mandatory youth communist movement. The weapon caches the government left for them were stored in secret locations, usually only knows to the army and/or intelligence services, and their contains were very lacking. In the same veins as their inspiration, that being the soviet partisans of WW2, they were supposes to conduct guerilla warfare and disrupt the enemy's supply lines. But that was coordinated by Bucharest, without the aid or consent of Moscow.

During the exercise R.A.F. reconnaissance flights overfly the area using thermal-imaging and monochrome photography. Ground searches with tracker dogs are also employed. Results vary, but on one exercise out of 39 established hides 37 were found within the first 6 hours and Burst Transmission signals were intercepted. 1 small correction/clarification around the 8 minute mark. It is mentioned that the BeNeLux countries were used as an invasion route to France during both world wars. This is true for ww2, however during ww1 The Netherlands was a neutral country, while the video seems to imply that the entire BeNeLux was invaded during both ww1 and ww2 which would be wrong. I thought the same but I'm fairly sure it just was such a massively unlikely event that there was never any point in arranging much reaction to a potential occupation. The UK was the "Third superpower" of the Cold War after afterall.

Bishop Absalon did not repulse a Russian invasion. He fought against Wends that hat got into the habit of raiding Danish coastal areas. I wonder where they did get inspiration from. Also it seemed like at least some in the Danish military feared a communist secret army that did not exist.

@@brokenbridge6316 Being Russian, I have never heard of “clandestine networks” for these particular purposes. I heard of mobilisation plans, civil defense, but not this thing. In the wwii, Soviet guerilla activity on German occupied territory was coordinated by the communist party functionaries and police, both acting underground. Their main activity was to harass those who collaborated with Germans. They also conducted attacks against infrastructure, but it was less effective. I guess, in case of US invasion at the Far East, they planned the same thing. In Europe, however, the Soviet army was expected to be on the offensive, precluding the need to prepare for stay behind

As a Belgian, I find it weird that you used the French name for our security service? Especially when most Belgians don't even speak French as their native language, hence why the Dutch name for the service was on top. Also, just use the English name for Belgian services, because language here is very controversial.

You have a wonderful French accent "sûreté de l´état" and "service de documentation extérieure et contre espionnage". You are from Canada, right? By the way, O.A.S led by Raoul Salan was a terrorist right-wing organization that refused the idea of an independent Algeria since it was a province not a protectorate like neighboring Tunisia.
