When House made the milk go into the girl's mouth, he was actually being kind to his patient since he said "Relax, you've had it before", and by that helped the mother keep her secret from her daughter...

when house says "relax you've had it before," isn't this the one where it turns out her daughter was adopted from a drug addict living in the same building? so given mom having a double mastectomy and daughter being adopted, she probably *hasn't* had breastmilk before.

Also got banned for three days on Reddit although that one I was being academic and they didn't like my answer backed up with Source material. But let's be real, I usually get banned for my mouth! I would say about 85% of the time that I have temporary suspensions or short band periods, it's definitely do to me and trying to clown around with people all the time. The other 15% is moderator abuse.

When House was saying that everyone lies I'm surprised nobody made the point that just because everyone lies it does mean they lie about everything. I wonder who destroyed his trust so much to make him distrust everything and everyone. although that does make it harder to tell when someone is lying - is it better to always assume people are being dishonest, to be hyper vigilant or to be vulnerable to deceit, manipulate and exploitation?

Nobody hurt him. At least, not badly enough for that. Observation and experience made him that way. He never said people lie about everything, and he doesn't need to trust someone to diagnose them. The thing about people is they tend to lie to themselves more than they lie to others. It's being able to spot those and determine their medical relevance is what makes him good at his job. Notice he doesn't consider himself morally superior to people. Just intellectually superior.

What Dar S said, its not a trauma but more like a school of thought, if i trust in you then i have to think what you say is true, if i dont trust in you then i can know that what you said is true. Always trusting blindly to everybody is as self-harmful or more (usually more) than doubting everybody

what's funny is I knew where House was going as soon as he said Risperidone. I was prescribed that stuff as a mood stabilizer while I was going through puberty and my Psych told me to report lactation or increase in breast volume immediately (I'm a man). The amount of medical research that went into this show is pretty impressive, even if they do also fictionalize a lot of aspects for the sake of plot.
