Amazingly he has no long term effects from the 5 harsh rounds of chemo. The only side effect he has is secondary iron overload, due to the many red blood cell transfusions he had to have during treatment. All he has to do for that is have them take blood every 3 weeks, until his iron levels are back within the normal range. It doesn't reoccur. He has a very good job as a welder and also runs table lasers for his company. He bought a house and got married to his high school sweetheart in 2022. Last year they welcomed their first child. Sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago that he was sick, and other times it seems like yesterday. We are extremely grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses who took care of him. We are also grateful to all our friends for their prayers and other assistance they gave us during his illness, but most of all, we are grateful to God that we still have our wonderful son. @@woodrobin “first do no harm” is not part of the oath, nor do doctors take that oath anymore. It’s out-dated and doesn’t allow for certain modern treatments. It also involves religion and giving money to your boss. However, let’s say she did take that specific oath, the text is pretty clear that you have to help the sick no matter who they are. Current ethics oaths have left in impartiality when it comes to treating patients. It doesn’t matter what the patient does for a living, doctors are obligated to treat them. Yes, these doctors are human and often have short-comings, but Thirteen specifically has been a lot better than others about not being rude to patients just because of their job and making conclusions about her illness just because of her occupation. Antihistamines means they thought you’re having an allergic reaction, bad ear aches could be caused by bad inflammation. I’d recommend taking SOLARAY Vitamin C & Bioflavonoids 500 mg, 5 of those will help boost your immune system, kill off any infection you might have. Also drink lots of water, take a hot shower, and use Vick’s vaporub on the areas where you’re experiencing pain. I’m not a doctor, but it’s helped me in the past.
