Junk foods also contribute to weight gain, which is a serious risk factor for inflammation and other health problems. What foods cause inflammation? 1. Sugar and artificial sweeteners. All medical professionals and scientists consider sugar to be one of the main enemies of mankind. In fact, we consume unsuspectingly large amounts of sugar because it is added to almost all packaged industrial products. Numerous studies confirm that sugar stimulates inflammation in the cellular structures that line the walls of blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and heart cavities. The presence of sugar in its natural form in fruits and vegetables does not have this effect, on the contrary, it only brings benefits to the body. But refined sugar and its artificial analogues in large quantities have a destructive effect on all systems and organs in the human body. 2. Cereals containing gluten. The opinions of various scientists, nutritionists and other specialists regarding the use of products containing gluten are radically different. Some believe that gluten contained in cereals causes inflammatory processes in people sensitive to this protein, while others categorically deny this. But the majority agree that rejecting gluten-containing products really alleviates the condition of people who suffer from inflammatory processes in the joints, digestive tract and dermatological diseases.
