Wow! Congratulations! This is incredibly great! Grey Hair stopped from GlyNAC. But did you measure your Blood Fasting Glucose and Insulin Resistance and Pre-Diabetes Markers or perhaps Metabolic Blood Panel (Cholesterol and Triglycerides) or did you lose any weight since you went back on or when you stopped for 4 months did you gain unintentionally any even 1-4 LBS extra weight? It seems that GlyNAC has so much more benefits than just stopping Grey Hair (even though Grey Hair is certainly an interesting thing and an extra benefit. Could you share what Dosages you used for all of these? Do you by chance also take CoQ10 and MSM and anything else from the Anti-inflammatory Anti-aging stack from latest research? At about the same age I am trying to do Intermittent Fasting and some basic supplements like Vit D3 5000 IU (discovered earlier in life and forgot that my Vit D3 always falls in deficient territory) and Vit K2 MK7 100 mg, Iron (for Iron deficiency Anemia) and All Vitamins Bs extra dosages for Heart and Brain Health. Noticed a few grey hair and it's really sad that I didn't even know GlyNAC has such an interesting effect on hair too.

The original study used what seems to be a huge amount: 100mg/kg/day of each, for a total of 200mg/kg/day, which works out to be 12-15 grams per day for the usual range of body sizes. The doc here is recommending 1.8-2 grams per day, which seems to be much more reasonable.

Also I normally get lots of colds and only had 1 in the 12months I been talking it. I don't believe you feel anything dramatic as it's basically boosting your bodies natural defences. It's looking back over the year my general health and well being is over all better. My skin looks better. But also been avoiding toxic seed oils and cut out sugar recently so that's probably helped as well. But glutathione reduces as we age so it can only be a positive thing. plus very cheap if you buy glycine powder and nac caps and take them together.

you are right, but you assumption that this is only one study in this area is wrong. there are so many studies about NAC and glycine over many decades, also its rate limiting effects on glutathione biogenesis. this is not a new thing at all but that new study looked much deeper into different signals like PGC-1alpha for mitochondrial biogenesis and pink1 etc. for mitophagy. a lot deeper into things that affect the mitochondria etc. for scientists in this field this is nothing new but it is more a conformation of different assumptions or results from other studies.

I bought NAC from NOW on April 24 2023. After using it a few days I got a constant lower belly pain with severe cramping. This went on through the night, I couldn’t sleep. Next morning I had explosive diarrhea, really painful. Of course I stopped with NAC. The pain went away after one more day and night. I thought it was NAC causing it. Until I read that over the counter NAC oxidizes easily. I decided to try the medical grade NAC effervescent tablet. The dose was higher but no pain whatsoever. I took a closer look at the NAC capsules and can see the oxidation in small brown spot’s inside the capsule. I of course am scared to death to use it again.

I buy beef bones from a local farmers market & slow cook it in a crockpot with onions, celery, carrots, garlic, and a tablespoon of vinegar to draw out the out all of the vital nutrients. I let it simmer for 12 to 15 hours then sprinkle some Himalayan salt and maybe add a few of your favorite herbs, such as fresh thyme, oregano, or whatever you like. It is the most delicious drink ever. But if you let it cool first and skim off the top grease which is not necessary at all and can cause stomach disturbances to sensitive ones. But it becomes a gelatin then you can drink it daily when heated up on the stove, not microwave, it has so many health benefits first time I did it the very next day I woke up and my facial skin was so soft and glowing, I couldn’t believe it, it’s that simple. No need to peel the onions and garlic as it has its own nutrition and flavor.

I think it should be noted that glynac is probably not going to have much benefit for people under 40, that said, I'm 51, I recently started taking glynac and I look and feel amazing. I probably only weighed 10-15lbs more than usual but the way my body processed energy was not nearly as clean and efficient as before. As COVID eased I got in the gym and worked diligently on my diet and I technically lost the extra weight I gained but I still could not get back to the lean look I was used to. That's when I started glynac and now I would say I'm 95% back to how I used to look. I haven't really lost much weight, I just look lean and mean instead of pudgy.

In some glynac supplements they suggest 1.8 g of each amino acid daily as dr suggested. There are other studies that proove that supplementing one amino acid e.g. nac does not boost gth level that is also impressive since glycine is ambudant in the body. Instead glycine i started taking gelatin (form of collagen) that is rich in glycine (roughly 26%) and contains also other amino acids.
