I'm brand new to a skin care routine and just found your channel, your absolutely awesome! I followed along from start to finish and learned a ton and I thank you for that. I subscribed to and looking forward to learning new things to adapt my first skin care routine I have in place cause I already need to make some adjustments. It's a funny thing you mention Korean skin care products are so popular too cause now I'm really thinking about it and they truly have perfect skin and the gold standard. I know I'm a beginner still but only will get the highest quality products.

10:22 Thank you so much for presenting less irritating alternatives to retinol. I have eczema-prone skin and cannot use retinol. I'm happy to find other ingredients that provide some benefits but without the unwanted side effects.

Hiya! No problem its a anti-aging ingredient developed in France. Its meant to be as effective as retinol but unlike retinol, doesn't irritate the skin at all. Hiya, as shown in the video only a small amount of retinol is applied to my eyes only so it works ok. If you're concerned, you can use other eye creams and stick to retinol in the evening. I use retinol serum all over my face including the eye area in the evening. Truly a great ingredient for anti-aging :)

I agree for the eye cream from BOj! The issue is that since i have dry and hydrated skin, I have to apply another layer of cream on top because its not nourishing enough and i also need an extra step to lock in the hydratation ❤

Are you doing a retinal sandwich? Or applying another eye cream first and then the BOJ retinal? Or BOJ retinal first and then another layer of eye cream/moisturizer? Just wondering so I can know what to do. Thanks!

@@mandywong1408 Retinal/retinol can make your skin a bit dry so these days when BoJ eye cream feels dry a bit, at the final stage when applying my Torriden moisturiser I apply all over on my eye area as well so that the area is also hydrated with hyaluronic acid. Hope this helps 🙂

Hiya yes you’re right actually as it loses its ability when exposed to sun. I’ve been using in the morning as it’s only the eye area and I get up very early when there’s no sun. But really retinol should be used at night time 🙂 Sorry if I confused you

Does iunik SPF contain essential oils? Because their Centella calming cream does, and it completely ruined my face. It took forever to heal and hasnt been the same since.

Hiya! I'm so sorry to hear that. I am actually not sure darling. I believe that essential oils are basically plant extracts and can that ruin your skin that badly..? I've just looked into the ingredients of the centella calming cream and one of its main ingredients is tea tree. Maybe it was the tea tree that wasn't suitable for your skin..? My skin is sensitive and it reacts to tea tree as well. In the Centella calming sunscreen there's no tea tree. Whatever it was, how annoying that it has damaged your skin! I really hope that your skin will recover fully soon! Keep me updated 💚

@parisinthr30sx According to Inci, there isn't any essential oils in the sunscreen. You are correct that the gel cream has bergamot, limonene, and linalool (which are common irritants for those with acne sensitive/extreme sensitive skin). The gel cream also has Commiphora Myrrha Resin Extract which may also be an irritant to avoid. I hope this helps.

Hiya, in this morning/night routine video, I used higher vitamin strength at night time, and lower strength in the morning. These days I stick to vitamin C serum only in the morning. Will do another updated routine video in the New Year 💚

How to incorporate retinol into your evening routine. Before the serum or after? The problem is that many serums are sticky and never dry completely.

Hiya, thanks for your question. I usually use retinol in the serum stage mixed with Niacinamide to dilute it. Yes, only the eye cream as I use retinol serum all over my face in my night routine. But you're right about questioning it as retinol should be used in the night routine :)

I only cleanse at night but in the morning I just wash my face with water.

Yes thanks for sharing the info and I am aware 🙂 In the video I apply the vitamin first on the parts that need hyperpigmentation care then after about 20-30 secs, apply on matrixyl on other parts that need wrinkle care.
