not enough "drops" for the edm freaks out there. Completely agree with you though, this was always my favorite style back in the late 90s/00s..

Anthony Pappa was too fucking real. think I only bought Balance 006 because of how FIRE 005 (James Holden) was, then walked into this mind fuck. So underrated, one of the Masters of Progressive Trance/House. James Holden - "Solstice" is still one of my top ten lifetime tracks, and the way he mixes it in the end here still gives me chills.

Anthony Pappa was one of the most underrated DJ's I've ever seen, his mixing skills are really great,doing every transition seamlessly, softly, outstanding, always bring a lot of good tracks matching with each other perfectly, I don't know nowadays, but at that time he was in the same level of Digweed, Sasha, Hernan and so many others. This one, and his Balance mix are truly masterpieces.

The was outstanding. A bit darker than his fellow djs but his skills were top notch. He did do mix for the nubreed collection so u could def say he was and is recognised among the best. Maybe just not as “headliney” as some of the others. Maybe due his deeper darker approach? Fck he could bring out emotions and get the crowd moving tho!!

His mixes back in those days were amazing, the very first Global Underground Nubreed 001 (disc one) mixed by Anthony Pappa is one of my favourite dj mixes of all time

Since I first listened to this mix back when it first came out, during the second track "O.B.A. - Noahs Ark (Deep Amok Mix)", I always get a mental picture of a dilapidated ghost ship with skeletons dancing in an ocean storm to the completely pitch BLACK tribal beat of this song. Great music...good times. Never gonna be the same ;)
