bloody, maybe, dangerous, no, the sport of boxing will always be the most dangerous discipline in the world, no other fighting sport has worse short and long term consequences than boxing. Boxing is the ultimate in fighting sports, its the old classic fist fight, its more compelling and vintage than all this other bullshit going on now with mma. They even took wrestling out because its not a compelling art form, muay thai is not a compelling art form unfortunately, it doesn't generate nearly as much money/attention as the sport of Boxing. And Muay Thai has not been around longer than pugilism, fighting with fists is the most instinctual way for a human to fight.
