4 fights in 11 months is not mental, it's how it should be. That's how Joshua and Parker are sharpest just now.

For today’s boxing standards where top guys only fight once maybe twice a year. 4 times in a 11 months is nuts. Which sucks to say but unfortunately it’s true

@cloudywithachanceofboxing6712 OK.. Champions should defend against a mandatory challenger every year, and also have voluntary defences also. I was worried, when years ago AJ was going to fight twice a year from now on. I thought he'd diminish his skills and sharpness and I believe it did. One fight every three months is not mental, what is mental is the boxing public having to put up with out of shape, ring rusty puddings going through the motions once or twice a year. Today's standards are the problem. And they're not even followed. WBC champion has to fight a mandatory challenger annually and look to fight 2 or 3 voluntarily a year. Fury has fought 1 mandatory and 2 voluntaries in 4 years. Yet he's not stripped. That is what is wrong. The money is going up and the product is getting ruined.

I'm sorry to tell you all this but boxing 🥊 is a Mafia. The match was fixed. Ngannou was a threat to boxing. He came to boxing and knocked down their heavyweight champion fury. They had to fix this fight so that AJ will win and not embarrass boxing. Because of they would have let ngannou win this fight, the boxing world would lose a lot of money. It's all about money to them. AJ, fury, Saudi, ngannou, Eddy, and more were hanging together back stage before the fight. That's just a little that I will tell you. The fight was fixed for Joshua to win it. Watch the fight in slow motion. Watch Joshua punches in slow motion in different angles. You'll see clearly that that jab did not land, ngannou went down before the Punch even hit him. This is all about money to them. About which guy in which fight can rack In more money.

Lawrence summed it up perfectly for me, Fury sold us all a dummy and hasn’t fought anywhere near enough top level fighters to make the claims he does. Other than Wilder, Fury has the worst resume in the heavyweight division and cares more about not losing than fighting credible opponents.

Fury supposedly has the best boxing IQ in the division. If you can’t figure out how to land your best punches on a fighter with 0 professional fights then we either need to stop giving Fury these plaudits. Or hold him to the standard that u say he is. Can’t be both. The problem was Fury has no punching power at all. You see the difference between fights. Fury landed the same punches Joshua did on Ngannou. He landed the 1-2 as soon as the bell rung in the first round. Nothing happened. Then he got clipped. And it was time to Hop on the bike

Fury embarrassed the sport of Boxing, AJ honored & redeemed the sport of Boxing! I said this when it happened, After that brutal 2nd knockdown with the right hand that floored Ngannou with a temple shot, you could see Ngannou was ready for the taking. You could also see AJ's trainer Ben Davison SCREAMING something to AJ which shown in Matchroom's behind the scenes video, ended up being the exact SAME punch sequence AJ & Ben were practicing while warming up on the pads shown in the dressing room before the fight. When the referee said FIGHT, AJ calmly walked across that ring like a stone cold killing assassin & detonated that scary rocket launcher of a right hand that sent Francis Ngannou to an Alternate dimension, it was the exclamation point defending the sport of Boxing & in my opinion as well as others, that right hand could've killed some fighters! I'm NOT even joking either. That was deliberate & terrifying! 💯🥊

If you can see a punch, even if you cant block it, you can prepare your body for it, turn with the punch etc. Ngannou is durable, he proved that in the ufc. However, boxing is so different, he couldn't predict the fight, got caught by surprise by a big punch and it was all over from there. I'm fairly confident that no one one Earth could resist a surprise punch from a top heavy weight boxer.

Fury still has overwhelming physical advantages over Usyk, who himself has shown some weakness and potential ways in. I can't stand Fury, and he isn't the "greatest". But he's still good when trying, and if he pushes himself to the best he can get and uses that size on top, then I feel like those factors make Fury the favourite. AJ is bigger and has far more power than Usyk, evening up that size advantage Fury has over everyone. AJ doesn't get the credit he should for the Usyk fights. He took at least 3 clear rounds in the first fight and 4 in the second, and a couple of close other rounds - the close rounds even closer in the second fight. People just remember the bad parts especially after gassing at the end.

@@johnortiz566Fury is bigger than AJ to a completely different level. AJ has also never used his size as a weapon, Fury has spent his entire career getting good at that. Fury may lose the power AJ had, but he will be coming in probably in the region of 40-50 pounds heavier while maintaining at least a similar level of movement speed as AJ did. He will have an inch or two in height compared to AJ, and 3 inches extra reach compared to AJ on top. And an expert in utilising every last bit of that size. I'll be cheering on Usyk because I hate Fury. But boxing maths is never a good thing to rely on.

  • @fernard8985

@@wyterabitt2149 Fury is like 20lbs heavier than Joshua and most of it is pure fat and he looked like complete shit against Ngannou carrying that much weight. Joshua is a 250lbs, uber athletic dude, he's much stronger physically than Fury and would wreck him in a regular street fight. Also, Fury clearly lies about his height and is barely taller than AJ. Finally, Fury doesn't have the power to really scare Usyk, who had to be super cautious against AJ because one clean punch would most likely knock him out, he doesn't have to fear it against Fury. People need to stop reading too much from the Wilder trilogy, Wilder has terrible footwork and was an easy target for Fury to lay his weight on. Usyk is way too fast and slick for that.

  • @wyterabitt2149

    @wyterabitt2149

    2 ай бұрын

@@fernard8985 Heavier than the weight Usyk faced from AJ in their fights - AJ came in around 240 both times. Fury is hovering around 280 in fights today. In his best performance for some time, in the second Wilder fight, he was still over 270. Yes, an inch or two as I clearly stated is barely taller, but a big factor as someone gets even taller past someone already taller than them to start with. And he definitely has a long reach. Strangely enough as someone who hates Fury and has always thought he wasn't as good as people think - I am not someone only coming to conclusions based on hype or bias. When you carry speed and stamina with you, which Fury does to a reasonable degree at his best, then extra height and weight starts to get more and more prominent as you go up. It's normally a factor that doesn't help because people become slow and stamina drops rapidly, and what Fury does have no matter how much I dislike him is the ability to be at this weight and use it effectively. Or at least he did. It's not like with Valuev, who was huge but moved in slow motion and had no stamina. His size looked scary, but was meaningless to anyone elite. Add in how Fury uses that weight and size then it's a major problem, Usyk also has limited power compared to Joshua or Wilder so Fury also doesn't need to be that worried about that just like Usyk. If Fury's lifestyle has finally caught up with his ability to get to his best then of course Usyk should win comfortably. And I will be happy. But if Fury can get close to his best then I think some people are being blinded by all of the BS Fury has done over the years and might be in for a shock.

He either had literally the worst night of his career or he’s over the hill already and the best fights are already behind him. It's been nice to see that it actually is possible for someone who was called souless and finished and shot to genuinely flip the script and bounce back to somewhere near their best again. Sure, the opposition might not have been elite level but then again, who in the HW division is? And who in the HW division is there that could expose AJ and test him in ways people think he needs to be in order to discover how he deals with X, Y and Z? You have Usyk who's amazing and deservedly beat AJ through skill, IQ and a phenomenal cardio at a high pace that AJ couldn't live with across 12 rounds and a style that intelligently negated AJ's power. Fine, Usyk is the No. 1 Imho. But he has 2 fights against Fury, I hope he wins both but at that stage he'll be the ripe old age of 38. That high octane style is a young man's game so he's arguably already on the decline and I'd expect and hope he retires after Fury a very wealthy man and an unbeaten undisputed champion of the HW and CW division haven beaten the best of both. Hollywood finish. But after Usyk steps down who is there to properly challenge AJ? I think Fury will eventually get hit by a bomb from AJ as we've seen him dropped against Francis, Wilder several times and others. It's an interesting fight but I think AJ stops Fury. Parker looks game but we've seen Zhang drop him twice and tbh AJ is just as good as Zhang only unlike Zhang AJ won't fade and will definitely follow up with a big attack and finish Parker in the same position. So who else? Nobody that good tbh. If AJ and Eddie play their cards right, I see AJ easily becoming an undisputed champ once Usyk soon retires and I believe Usyk does retire after the Fury double.

I very much doubt that Fury prepared for that fight physically or psychologically. We saw him dropped twice against Wilder and then came back a different person in the next fight against Wilder.

Let's not get carried away, he beat a novice. He didn't beat a top ranked fighter he beat an MMA fighter like he should have done

Well, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the Usyk fight. If he loses, then you may have a point. People saying AJ did what Fury couldn’t but maybe Fury will do what AJ couldn’t. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree, A.J can't beat Usyk trying to be something he's not, or become something he was never meant to be. But he can beat Usyk reaching his own natural potential and just by being classic A.J. 2.0.

How could Joshua punch that hatd with pillow gloves? Harder than elbows and kicks to the jaw to an UFC proven MMA chin?!

We've never seen AJ look so fluid. Look back at the Usyk fights. He was rigid. Thats the biggest improvement I've seen in AJ. The boxing media are largely responsible for this narrative that Fury is the best, without proving it.

We’ll remember, Tyson still needs to fight usyk, somebody the kick the shit of Antonio. A real boxer

Fury took it as an exhibition, not a real boxing match. Francis was hoping for Anthony to take it as an exhibition as well, lol. that look on Francis face after that first knockdown. he had the look of a confused 8 year old lil boy. Anthony did what a pro should do to an amateur with two fights ever.im happy Francis made some good money on these two spectacles. it doesn't look like Anothony and Fury will ever box.
