This is pure delusion. People talking about endurance speed, power and agility and especially age are missing the one point that *actually* matters here and that is Ring IQ. Idk, I think Mike has still got enough left that Mike is a bigger threat to cause Mike to lose than Jake. By which I mean, if Tyson goes in there with an attitude of "let's move around, I dont want to hurt you" then Jake has a chance to clip him and overwhelm him. But if he goes in there with the old attitude of "I hope he stays up long enough that I can try to land that uppercut and send his nose thru his brain"... he could still end it quick. Tyson at his best wasnt a "lets feel out the opponent" style fighter. Hes at his best when he goes in there executioner style. Which could work even at his older age since he wont need to rely on having a big gas tank, just instinct, skill, and power.

Tyson lost his mobility 25yrs ago, there's no way he gets in a ring today and can stay out of harms way against a young mobile opponent. He'll be insanely TIRED and a sitting duck against a guy who on TikTok is a legend but a bum in reality. Lennox Lewis would be too much for Jake Paul even now but Tyson has lost 95% of what made him great. Elusive head movement, insane footwork to get inside and explosive power in both hands delivered in 4-5 punch combos.....only tall, ring savy fighters had the tools and the good sense to tie him up round after round. Jake Paul would go 1 round if he came to fight a prime Tyson and maybe 2 rounds if he ran.

I watched Tyson growing up and all I can tell you is that you need to see it. In an era that had a lot of tall heavyweights, Tyson with his 'Peek-a-boo' boxing style was a phenomenon. But for all his talent, and power, and speed, and perfect technique, it was his sheer ferocity in the ring that genuinely scared people. He was known as 'the most feared man on the planet'. Two things, often said by those who have fought him are: "I've never been hit that hard" and "Mike is a different animal".

Tyson doesn't have to be in his prime to beat Jake. Jake Paul hasn't fought anyone comparable to Mike Tyson. He may not be at his highest level but he still has physical speed and strength. His boxing IQ is still there. He would kill Jake who has no defense. He was exposed when he fought Fury. Tyson would kill him without trying.

Jake fighting unknown boxers wasn't a step from MMA guys (besides Silva). It was step up cause at least they had boxing experience. Imo depending on how the fight with Mike goes, this either a step back due to age or a step up cause of boxing experience & power regardless of age. Hopefully everything turns out safe.

I see both sides of the coin, but i think at the end of the day its a good thing because its motivating older people to get back into training, puting the the fight aside, it gives mike something to train for as this could be his last hurar, and if mike knocks out jake paul which is a possibility then everyone will be ecstatic. Sign the contract big boy, the joke is on Jake while Mike is still fit

Getting knocked out when you are 58 is far more dangerous than in your 20's or 30's - and is far more likely to happen as punch resistance at that age is severely diminished. We all want to see Tyson knock this clown out but there is no getting around the fact the guy will be 58 on fight night - and don't get me wrong I'm not saying its impossible for Tyson to win, my concern is Tyson could get seriously hurt.

Why is everyone blaming Jake? Mike Tyson is old enough too sign the contract and make his own choices.

Sorry but that list is not that impressive. Only Larry Holmes of those are hall of fame worthy and he was past his prime. Tyson was great in his weak era but is barely a top ten heavyweight of all time. I hope Tyson wins, I really do. But 20 years ago he was embarrassed by journeymen. Do you think he's improved since then?

Mike just needs to go full send round one and end it. If anything in his gut wants more than the money he will win. It’s hard for me to believe he’s ok losing to someone like Jake Paul.

I dont think some people understand how bad a boxer Jake Paul really is and how vulnerable he is to any talented boxer with reasonable punching power. Yes, if connects he can knock people out, but that's not really an advantage when your opponent can do it too. It's just normality for any heavyweight boxer. His real problem is he's got the ring IQ of a potato and he's only ever fought bum fighters. Tyson is not a can of beans like Tommy Fury. Even now, he's more than capable of ending this quickly. He's faster, he punches way harder, his movement, footwork and closing speed are still far beyond Jake Paul's level and he's got a ring IQ as high as anybody's. The whole point of his training at the moment is to make sure he's sharp enough to start real sparring... And there is already footage of him sparring a younger and larger fighter out there and he's hardly struggling. If it's a recent clip, then by the way he's sparring he's probably training for endurance in case he can't get a knockout. The fight's not for 3 months. Even if old man Tyson only comes in capable of 3 rounds of flat out assault, it's about as dangerous a siituation as an inexperienced and vulnerable fighter like Jake Paul can be in. Jake Paul is a cruiserweight with no discernible boxing experience or talent except for a big punch. This fight has the same danger level for him as getting into the ring against a current heavyweight ranked about 100 in the world, with 50 pro fights and extensive amateur experience. Just remember how stunned everyone was at how little time and how few punches it took Anthony Joshua to put Francis Ngannou to sleep. There are levels in this sport and styles really do make fights. Jake Paul's best shot is later on in the fight if Tyson runs out of gas. Until that happens, because of his poor boxing skills this fight could damage his long term health just as much as it could damage Mike Tyson's. This is not going to be a cakewalk for him if he eats any big shots early in the fight.

If Jake sticks out his tongue like he usually does I hope Mike bites it off.

Mike still packs power and from the training footage I’ve seen, he can still move pretty fast…. for a while. Nothing in the training footage tells us how long he can keep it going for, and for me that is the crucial question. IMHO if the fight goes beyond the first round, he is in trouble. There’s nothing I’d like more than to see Mike take Jake’s head off but he would need to get him out of there fast.

I love what Jake has done for both the MMA & boxing. It's amazing that a Utuber helped fighters get their due. I can't say I wouldn't step in the ring with him to do the same. Who wouldn't, its like winning the lottery. That said Mike is no ordinary 57 year old, & Jake is nothing but an ordinary boxer. He's an amatuer boxer at best with great promotion savy. No amatuer has ever managed to spin gold outta it, until him. Then again, no amatuer figured out a way to by pass guys his own age & size & incite people to pay to watch it.

A real fighter like Mike will agree to take anybody on under the right deal. Jake Paul only agrees to take people on that he believes he can bully. Jake isn’t even pro is he?

Whatever happens in this fight it’s an embarrassment for Jake and sad that Mike feels like he has to do this.

Mike is a millionaire and can do a bunch of things for money, it's greed.

People forget he lost his passion to fight back in 2005, this is a fixed fight/money grab.
