Anthony Howell - Home Sweet Home (Bluegrass Banjo)
This has always been one of my favorite tunes. This is one the very first tunes I ever learn on the mandolin when I was taking lessons. This beautiful old melody was written by Sir Henry Bishop in the early 1800’s and became popular in the States around the Civil War era. I hope y’all enjoy arrangement of it, played on my wonderful Deering Banjo!

Great music, so much fun to listen to
Beautiful version of this song. One of my favorites since hearing Bela Fleck's duet version on Acoustic Planet.

Man that is awesome pickin right there.
Great version!
Mad skills
awesome banjo picking
Nice pickin!
Silk smooth & that second tear displayed some extremely unique melodic and single string moves and I’ve played 40 yrs working out some progressive ideas myself but I haven’t created any version of Home Sweet Home nearly that eclectic or different and bro this arrangement rocks with power 😎🪕
Oh my goodness.😮
Nicely done Anthony! When you got to around 1:18, I stopped and hit rewind almost immediately! Is that something that you learned from playing the mandolin? That was sweet!
So nice,great arrangement…☮️🎶🔛🌎
Excellent!
That is excellent! As your fellow competitor at Winfield, this is giving me lots of ideas for banjo tunes for next year! Those triplets in the upper neck break came out of nowhere. Love it!

Great piece. But playing such a piece without giving us the TAB is inhuman ;-)
